We had a charming man at the front desk, who made us tea and didn't charge us. He was organised and welcoming and referred us to an outstanding restaurant.
Theer was a guest shower room, so my daughter could shower after the marathon.
The hotel was comfortable and homely, none of those ghastly long corridors.
I recommend it without reservation.

Modern Hotel in a very good condition. I enjoyed my stay there. The staff were always very friendly/helpful. Nice quiet room (I had one overlooking the courtyard - the ones at the front by the rail line are probably noisier) with good air-conditioning (it was 35c during my stay). The breakfast was reasonable for €7.50. There isn't much in the immediate area but the top of the Tiergarten is very close by - you can walk to the Reichstag from the hotel if you wish. More importantly the Bellevue S-Bahn station is only a short walk away and the Hbf is only a slightly longer walk in the other direction so getting around is very easy. The area around the hotel seemed very safe even at night. I would stay in this hotel if I went to Berlin again.

Hotel was very nice and new. I liked the decor inside the lobby and the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially when it came to asking for directions on how to get around the city and the way to the airport. Breakfast was very good and has nice selections. The hotel is only a short walk from the Wittenbergplatz U-bahn station and KaDeWe and shopping street is behind the station.

Second time I have been here and the location is great just 50 meters from the U-Bahn station at Wittenbergplatz so really good base to get around. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area and only 5 minutes to one of the main shopping areas. Huge breakfast served until 11.

"Lovely hotel and excellent base for seeing Berlin"
We were impressed with the staff and the hotel itself. It was perfectly based for the sightseeing we wanted to do, and the hotel is in a good area for shopping and restaurants - and close to an underground station. Berlin as a city is an amazing place to visit - with sights and venues to visit associated with pre-war Prussian/German history, WWII and the East-West divide.

Friendly staff at reception around the clock. Decent sized room and bathroom, and great to have a communal kitchen area downstairs for guest use. We were out most of the day, and it was very easy to walk or access transport to where we wanted to go from this hotel. It was nice to have a few drinks in the bar when we returned at night. This is the best location if you need to get a long distance train to somewhere else at the end of your stay, as the station is just across the road, the hotel will store your luggage if needed, or you can just check out and hang out at the bar/cafe if you prefer.

We had to meet some guy out in front of the Apartments to get our key and pre-pay for the rooms. The tub in our Apartment was dirty and the bathrooms not great. The location was good for access to the Metro and the guy we met for the key was nice, but I would likely choose a different location for future stays in Berlin. It felt like being a resident of an Apartment in the cold war era. They did re-finish the floors and the be was okay. Our TV had one channel and could be a better setup.

The Hotel is in an older refurbished building 10 minutes from the Von Moltke Bridge, and only 15 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof - VERY convenient if you are arriving in Berlin through the Hauptbahnhof. A pleasant 20 minute stroll to the Reichstag and the Bandenburg Gate. Facilities are a tad dated but the place is very well kept - it is no Holiday Inn - it's older and at the same time really quite adequate. No luxury here, but good location and decent accommodation are valuable assets for the economy-minded tourist. We would return in a flash. The only drawback for our suite - a common bathroom with other units, but it was meticulously clean at all times. Added bonus: a delightful restaurant across the street called Don Giovanni. Excellent fare at a great price - ate supper there every one of the six days we were in Berlin.
