The staff were so helpful and did everything to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. Number 33 bus stops right outside and goes into the centre of Verona every half an hour...1 euro 50 cents. Taxi back after the opera was 15 euros. The little trips in and out of Verona were definitely worth it because the hotel is quiet and peaceful and you felt like you were miles away from city.

"Add a restaurant & this place would be transformed"
What a fabulous building, beautifully converted from a farm 3 years ago to an exceptionally high standard. The rooms, with air conditioning, are equal to those of hotels charging 3 or 4 times the price. In fact I'm confident once this 'hotel' manages to acquire its full status with a restaurant the rooms will be far more expensive. When we stayed, of the 50 rooms available, at most only 3 were occupied, dont miss out on this gem, book!
The purpose of staying here was to visit Venice, and the following day into Verona for the opera. Access to both cities was extremely easy by car from this hotel.
Until a restaurant is opened, you will find VillaFranca a short drive away, with a good selection of restaurants and shops.
Whilst the staff we met were friendly and helpful there lacked any personality or atmosphere, not unusual for a hotel of this size, nothing which would stop us staying here again.

Travelling for more than 30 years across all continents, more than 50 countries, experiencing all good and bad. It is my pleasure to say that the owner of hotel Due Colonne is the most sincere person, making stay there " home like experience". Very good food, excellent service, fantastic coffee! Bus number 130 from Verona stops right in front of the hotel. I will be more than glad to stay there again.

Good quality room in a nice rural location. The sat navigation direction didn't quite go the right way based upon the address but spotted signs giving alternate direction. (need to turn off by San Felice church however Google maps given good directions)

This is an excellent hotel, a charming 35-room establishment. Very good location. Close to train station and to the sights (300 meters away). The staff is great. The night clerk made breakfast for me an hour before the scheduled time the kitchen opened in order for me to get to the airport on time.

We went as a group of four, ( we study Italian together), and had booked four rooms. Despite arriving early we got a warm welcome and our rooms were ready. The rooms, whilst not large, were big enough for our requirements. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was of a high spec. Cleanliness was of a very high standard; this is a well run hotel. There is a small bar off Reception, ideal for pre dinner cocktails. All the staff we dealt with throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly, and willingly gave advice , for example, on restaurant recommendations. Good value for money and highly recommended.

We were only at the hotel for one night, but had an excellent experience. The room/bathroom was a bit small (although still enough room if you're traveling light), but that did not take away from the hotel's superb environment. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and make recommendations of places to go/eat in the city. The hotel stored our luggage for us well after we checked out and called a cab for us nearly 12 hours after we checked out -- the staff even offered to let us sit in the waiting area if we needed to kill time before our train. Also, the location could not be any better -- Less than two blocks from the arena!

"Great location just minutes by train from Verona"
We were travelling with a Eurail pass and opted for a smaller centre outside Verona so we could go on day trips in either direction. The hotel is rated 3 star but offered a much higher experience. A free welcome wine and nightly free tapas bar, full restaurant menu for dinner, great room amenities including a bath robe, tea kettle, hair dryer, a large complimentary hot and cold breakfast that included a gluten free section. The outdoor swimming pool is open in the summer months. We did not visit the gym. The hotel is a short walk from the train station but you must go under the street, down a block and around a corner to reach the hotel. One evening the under street pass was being painted. There was no safe way to the hotel so we had to take a taxi but the cost was only 5 Euros. The local people were most helpful. Carry the hotel phone number with you as we could not locate it in the phone book.
