"Much better than high reviews from hotel golden. "
Good clean hotel in great location. We Initially stayed up the street at hotel golden. Tripadvisor gave golden a great review but I would give this hotel a much higher rating.

"Nice location"
There for weekend, had single bed room was small but clean. Street noise at night, bed was hard and shower was a challenge. Staff at check in was not real helpfull. Rest of the staff fine, breakfast was good. Walk to Trevi fountain ( under construction) Termini buses and Spanish stairs.

"Great location and spacious, comfortable rooms"
In a nice old building in Rome in a quiet street off a main road. The main road has great bus line for getting around and a tabacco shop where you can buy you bus tickets. There is an awesome little elevator which I thought had heaps of character - it's like an open air cage. They are only on the second floor so you can always walk up. The building itself has intercom system and the reception is 24 hours. Staff are nice and helpful. They had a reasonable breakfast and it was included in our room fee. We definitely took advantage of this and filled up. It's a small breaky room but no one was ever in there with us. It's nice and central to lots of stuff. You can walk to capunchin crypt, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps etc. bed was comfy and our room was spacious. The rooms are maybe a bit dated but perfect condition and clean and comfortable. Very nice little restaurant downstairs that will do take away if you just want to veg in your room.

"Lovely"
Lovely hotel, I was very happy with my stay. They sent an email before arrival to query my needs and special requirements. Upon arrival the gentleman at the reception handed over a map and gave a detailed description about the city, transport, tickets. The room was small but I've never been to Rome in a hotel before so might be the same everywhere. Plus I was on my own and still got a room with double bed. It was a bit old school, but very clean. There was hot water anytime during the day, with good pressure. The breakfast is between 7-9:30, with lots of choices. They made the coffee fresh for you! One day I went down at 9, and there was no bread left, only toasted crackers, that was a bit disappointing. Very close to termini (taxi 6 Euros including tip, but you can walk too). From the hotel you can walk to the city, but there are buses as well very close. Restaurants are in the neighbourhood at ViaFlavia.

"Small but pleasant"
Travelling alone, I wasn't expecting much for the low rate, and didn't really need much as I would be spending all day touring the city. Although it is a very small facility, only 15 rooms, and all the doorways are very small, the room actually was more pleasant than expected. My only "complaints" would be the wood floor in the room needed better sweeping, the shower door should be on the other side as it was an awkward squeeze between the sink to get in the shower, and finally be prepared for the loud city buses that pass by several times a day.

"Nice place to stay"
We stayed four nights at this hotel. It would have been very confusing as to how to get into the hotel had I not read a previous reviewers tip- having to push the button by the big wooden door at the first entrance- this unlocked the other doors. The hotel is very small(only twenty rooms), and quaint. The staff is very personable and is willing to help you with any questions or problems you may have. The check-in area (on 2nd floor)is not very large and you must walk by it upon entering and exiting your room. They wish for you to leave your room keys with them when you leave the building, which is really fine..this way you know you cannot lose your keys....I guess they can do this because it is such a small hotel. The rooms were spacious enough and clean. The showers were small, and in one of our 2 rooms the air conditioner did not cool as well as the other. The location of the hotel was very good. It was a 2 minute walk to the metro, and 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and The Spanish Steps. There were cafes close by as well. I would stay at this hotel again.

Pocket Guide: Rome Via Veneto 3 stars Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
