A highly decorated, quirky hillside hotel with charming and helpful staff, particularly front desk musicologist Felipe. Beautifully situated, Our room had a fabulous view and comfortable bed, with the only markdown for a very small bathroom (great shower, though). I miss it already.

"A charming place away fromt he hustle and bustle"
Wonderful B&B. The two owners were so friendly, pleasant and very helpful with directions and suggestions. The inn is located away from all the commotion of the town, up high on a hill and on a good clear day you can see the ocean. Getting back to the town is a mere 15 minutes but you can not walk it--too hilly. We loved the quietness of the place and the outdoor eating area. It has a seating area with plush couches and a fire place. I don't think there was a heater in the room but we were there in December and that was not a problem. The restaurant was open for dinner but we stayed only one night so we did not partake. The breakfast offered homemade yogurt and breads. If you are looking for a quiet, quaint beautiful setting with only 5 rooms, this is a must! A heads up: no internet available.

Place is great. Received a prompting email from the owners, despite booking on expedia. They made sure we had practical directions and checked if we had any special requests. Cinque Colori is a small attractive hotel overlooking the sea. Each room has a small balcony and lovely to watch the sunset each night. Staff / owners were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent as well.

A friend and I each spent one night at Sutherland House in advance of a 13-day South American cruise. We selected the hotel based on positive reviews and price and I must say I was not disappointed. Claudio and Berta were perfect hosts and the view of Valparaiso from every room is incredible. From a welcoming glass of champagne to help with our heavy luggage getting up the many steps to this high-on-a-hill hotel -- we loved our stay. My traveling companion speaks Spanish and got a lot of information from owner Claudio about the history of the building (his former home) and the history of Valparaiso. We really enjoyed our stay.

If we were to describe a perfect cozy, charming, boutique-style hotel, it would be the Manoir Atkinson in Valparaiso, Chile! Seldom, if ever, have we been made to feel so "at home". From the moment we arrived and were greeted by our host Judith at the door of this thoughtfully restored heritage property, until the day we left to board our cruise ship, we were treated as friends and not merely as just guests. The Atkinson's hillside location is superb with views from the rooftop terrace of the city and the harbor below. Hearty breakfasts were served in an elegant dining room at tables set with unique Atkinson signature china. Our stay there was in every respect memorable.

The staff was exceptional, friendly and very helpful in advising the tourist highlights of the city. All front desk staff we had contact with spoke English.
The hotel is very clean and is within walking distance of the beach and some other tourist attractions.
There is a main building and a second building with meeting rooms on the lower floor and bedrooms on the second level.
Breakfast was included with an excellent variety of choices.
Wi-Fi is also included. For the first day we were able to access the internet from our rooms, however, the final two days of our stay we had to walk to the small lounge in the main building to gain access.
There is a huge selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and small coffee shops in the area.
