This hotel is located exactly where you want to be! Convenient to many subway lines but we mostly walked everywhere! The hotel is so quiet - even the elevator doesn't "ding" when it arrives - simply blinks the up or down light - we slept so well here! The room was very clean and unbelievably quiet! Free Wifi and bottled water each day are a major plus in my book and I wish every hotel provided this! The rain shower in the bathroom is AMAZING - I miss it! Its exactly what you want to come back to after a long day go sightseeing. There is plenty of cheap/fast breakfast options nearby like Starbucks, Jamba Juice and a great bagel place! The staff was always attentive and helpful. They recommended many restaurants and an excellent bike rental across the street for touring Central Park! However, I was disappointed when the staff recommended a car service to and from JFK that would've cost us $128 one way! We found an great car service, Dial 7, that offered prompt professional service for about $50 each way! I think the hotel could do better in serving their clientele with cost-effective recommendations.

"Great location - walked everywhere to everything !"
Had a great first trip to NYC. Saw the Met Opera live the first night in town, went to "Phantom of the Opera", went to Avery Fisher Hall to hear an open rehearsal of the NY Philharmonic with guest conductor Esa Pekka Solonen......and loved it so much that I bought a ticket and went back to hear the same concert the next evening! I spent quite a lot of time at Lincoln Center and took a backstage tour of the MET - and also was invited to meet the radio producer of the MET, Mary Jo Heath which was most enjoyable. Also took in the Empire State Building and loved walking back to my hotel along 5th Avenue.
