We stayed at Prince Henry with my wife and two daughters (5 & 7 yo) and we loved it! We had booked the ground floor garden suite, where we enjoyed exclusive access to a spacious garden. The room itself was actually better than expected; clean, cozy, with facilities such as an iPod docking station and an espresso coffee machine... The piastrelle bathroom was the biggest I've ever seen, featuring nice bathrobes and other amenities. Breakfast was also delicious, very rich and it was served in our room daily, by the very friendly and hospitable owners!
The location was superb!! Easily accessible with tram#2, within a few minutes from the central station and in one of the best residential areas of Amsterdam. Walking to the museum quarter and all the museums and attractions is pleasant and easy, but for the lazy ones, the tram stop was a 2 min walk from the hotel. Also Vondel Park is a stones throw away and I would highly recommend you take the path nearby the hotel and walk along the park till you reach Leidse Plein.
A memorable stay, I highly recommend this!

The staff in this hotel were the ultimate in friendliness and helpfulness and added immensely to our stay. The room was large, clean and well maintained. Facilities were excellent. The hotel was close to many local attractions, restaurants, the train station and tram stop, so was well located.

I did get lost; being my first time in Amsterdam, I could not figure out the maps on the sidewalk, I was also famished, and exhausted, not to mention completely on my own!!
Anyway, at 8.30 PM, 07/06/2014, I find The Novotel I had booked, and I am I told there are no rooms left. Great. Just when I thought my luck was completely out, a nice young Dutch man, who's name I cannot recall, informs me that I have been upgraded to a suit! Amazing news! I just wish I could remember his name. My boyfriend arrived, and we checked-out on the morning of the 09/06/2014.
In conclusion, the Hotel franchise, that is Novotel, couldn't have offered myself, or my boyfriend, a better stay.

The location in Rembrandt Square is a tipoff that this hotel was a great deal. Very comfortable, spacious, and a very clean room. When I entered the hotel the simplicity and cleanliness stood out. Each and every staff member was fully professional, bi-lingual and especially knowledgeable. Room service was the perfect touch for me.
Public transportation is directly at the front entrance of the hotel and available 24hrs a day. A tram/bus pass is perfect for this city; busses and trams go EVERYWHERE and drops you directly in front of the hotel when your travels are done. Don't take taxis. Use public transport with a pass (mine was for 3 days at 17.6 Euros). By the way, there are at least 13 restaurants within the square; 2 nightclubs; and a coffee shop. Within a single block in all directions of the square, the numbers double. Something for everyone. NH Caransa is the BEST decision I made this entire vacation.
