We rented a 3 bedroom condo at Tierra del Sol. Our party included my DH, MIL, two teens, and a tween. Condo had everything we needed including maid service! We loved the pool which had a view of the ocean. Had a massage at the spa and the teens had a facial. Services were great and reasonably priced. Did not golf.
The resort was within easy driving distance of the high rise condos (Eagle and Palm beaches). Plenty of dining close by. Went to Arashi beach where the resort supplies beach chairs. Enjoyed snorkeling at Malmok and Baby beaches.
First time trip to Aruba was very enjoyable. It is very windy there. Also bring lots of sunscreen! We had to purchase some on the island and it was expensive. Recommend eating at Le Petit Cafe, Casa Tua Pizza and A Taste of Belgium. We used Vela Sports to take wind surfing lessons. Great lesson and staff.

Chose the place because of the (lowest) price but kept my expectations low. Was only going to stay there half my staying and then move to a nicer and bigger resort. No reason to do it. Staff was great, owner (Arias) lives right next door and is such a great guy.
Room was huge. Actually is a one bedroom apartment with living room, kitchen, big bedroom with a nice 46/50" flat screen, DVD, VCR. Movies are also provided there.
Gabriel, the chef has breakfast built to order and all you can eat pizza night on Wednesday.
They also provide a nice city tour with an ATV to the Natural Pool, cave and other places only available with 4wd.
Definitely coming back.

My husband & I love The Amsterdam Manor. We have only stayed here twice but intend on staying here each time we visit Aruba because it is perfect for what we enjoy while staying on the island. The Amsterdam Manor has excellent staff that treat you as though you are their only guest. They always greet you with a smile and if you have any problems they are willing to accommodate you as best they can.
We have stayed in the Honeymoon Suite twice and love it. It is nice and quite. This hotel is great for people like us who are not interested in the 'party life' that the high rise hotels have to offer. We much prefer the quiet and coziness of Amsterdam Manor. We also love Eagle Beach which is directly across the street. We had our wedding beach blessing there in 2013 and loved it so much we have decided we will try and visit every year for our anniversary.
A/M is also a nice place for families. They have a beautiful pool too. Another great convenience of this hotel is the on ground store where you can pick up a few items of food and a few trinkets for your room without having to travel to the supermarket. It is small but still a great thing to have at a hotel! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would want.
The perfect place to stay. Our place :) We <3 Aruba!
