We enjoyed an excellent stay with the central location making all main sites in easy walking distance.
2 minor issues were that food in the roof top restaurant was not hot when served as it came from the downstairs kitchen and the outside roof top was closed on one day despite bright sunshine and clear skies as rain was forecast later ( non materialised ).
Breakfast was excellent and well presented with lots of choices

Cape Sounio is a truly lovely place. There was very little I could find fault with. The staff were extremely helpful with the service overall excellent. Food and facilities were great and the place was just fabulous. The beach was great and the view across the bay to the template was just magical. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday experience but the easy, cheap trip into Athens make sight-seeing feasible too.

Hera Hotel was a very nice, small, boutique-type hotel located in the most perfect area for visiting and seeing Athens. The only reason to ding its cleanliness was because the carpet at our room's door was slightly soiled; otherwise, just fine. An excellent breakfast was served in a delightfully classic morning room; and, for later in the day, on the roof, there was a restaurant which served exceptional meals complete with a view. Every staff member at Hera Hotel was friendly and very helpful.

We were delighted with this hotel that is on a rough and rocky shore. We wanted a hotel on the sea on a one night stopover and this hotel was perfect. Lovely pool and gardens. Food is good and plentiful.
Rubber water shoes recommended to protect from the rocks and sea urchins if you want to swim in the sea and many people do.
Downside - distance from international airport. We got ripped off by the taxi driver from the airport who charged 53 Euros by the meter. The cab on the way back cost 35 Euro flat rate.

A dear friend is returning to Australia and has spent the last month touring the islands finishing in Athens .I decided to surprise her and book a week-end there too.I booked the Novotel and she did too.I,m so glad we did it is bright and modern I had a double room which was quite large with a sofa and a walk in shower, not a bath! The staff are helpful and the roof top pool/bar/restaurant have amazing views of the acoroplis.I would recommend the Novotel. Some people have said that it is in a dodgy area, and it does look a little rough, but it is a short 10 minute walk to Larrisa metro and that will take you anywhere.
