We went to Austin for a 3 day weekend. When first walking in, the giant Christmas tree in the lobby is a lovely sight. Valet parking was good, we only had to wait once (we called down but it still took an additional few minutes). Overall, we had a very nice stay, and would definitely come back!

Overall, our stay at Hotel Ella was excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We really like that they have a bar that hosts happy hour everyday for half off all drinks and bar appetizers. My husband particularly enjoyed the local beers served at the bar as he is a beer enthusiast. We took advantage of their free car service (first come, first serve) pickup/drop-off to nearby locales and tourist spots. The drivers were friendly and were knowledgeable on local recommendations for places to see, visit, and eat. They also have free bikes to use but didn't get a chance to try it. Our room was on the first floor (windows faced a fence) but next time we come back, we will pick a room where the window faces to the poolside area. The hotel did an excellent job of cleaning our rooms, making it comfortable, and having a turndown service every evening. However, there was some inconsistency on how the housekeeping left our articles of clothing and toiletries in the room. (I guess this may be due to different housekeeping staff doing the cleaning everyday.) The hotel was also quick on getting us something we requested when we called the front desk (example: forks and napkins if we ate inside our room.) We would love to come back to Austin again and if we do, Hotel Ella would be our choice for a hotel.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel for a family wedding. The rooms were clean and large, the event facilities were gorgeous and the food was fantastic. We were even able to check in early and check out late. The hotel is located in the Arboretum, a shopping and entertainment area on the north side of Austin. The main downside of the hotel is that it will be fairly out of the way if you are looking to spend lots of time downtown. The only slight hiccup in our stay was that we had paid a rate to include wifi access, but the access code wasn't included when we checked in. However, we ended up being so busy that it wasn't an issue.

Our stay was very nice. I traveled with my adult sister & my 12 year old twin boys. The only thing that bothered us was strong smells in the hallways and the music that played in the hallways. The music was too loud and could be heard inside the room at night.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding reception that was being held there, and to meet friends who had recently moved to Austin. The hotel is very conveniently located for downtown as well as the airport.
