Generally this was a really lovely Villa. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The Villa looked exactly like the advertising which is rare.
The inhouse meals were a little inconsistent though. Sometimes the meals were of an extremely high quality (better than many restuarants) but other times they were really not very good.

I was deighted to hear and see so many birds after weeks in SE Asia where the birds have all but disappeared. I even saw unusual species from the comfort of my room in the Monsoon Lodge. Great birding with a guide, snorkeling to the island, even a free ranging group of macaques. Everything you could want in an ecolodge!

We stayed at the Niksoma for a week in September. We were looked after superbly from the moment we arrived- the ice cold face towels and welcome drink in reception was a lovely touch and swiftly followed by a complimentary upgrade to a superior room. the room was very comfortable, air conditioning superb. The little details like turning down the bed and afternoon tea cake left in the room every day aswell as a complementary afternoon tea in the week just made it a very enjoyable experience. The pool area was just lovely, comfortable loungers and gorgeous view straight onto the beach. The best area for sun in the morning was the lower pool and move up to the upper infinity pool for afternoon sun. The only thing that marred it slightly for us was the inevitable people "bagging" a lounger. We had breakfast at 7 and there were already towels on the most of the best loungers. The hotel does state that if a towel is left for more than an hour it will be removed but that wasn't the issue, It was the same people in the same spot the entire week we were there. I actually heard the lady in question at our last breakfast joking to another guest that they were out for the day so they would be allowed to have "their" space.a bit selfish really when other guests have paid to have the same experience and are denied it by others. Not the hotels fault but a bit irritating! that aside, the hotel and surrounds were beautiful. Massage in spa also v.good

We only stayed here for a short period before our flight but it was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The food was delicious and the view from the restaurant was amazing. The room was perfect. No complaints at all.

We had a really relaxing break at this hotel for a week. The bed was so comfortable, we wanted to take it home! We stayed in a Junior Suite, and were really pleased to see that the bed for the kids was in a separate room, and even though it was a fold out sofa bed, it was comfortable too. It has a good sized pool, gazebos and covered sunbeds around the pool (so you can get out of the sun if you want to), good value food in its two restaurants, and a really relaxing atmosphere. It was close enough to all the attractions in Kuta beach (about a 15 min walk), and there is a major shopping centre (with a supermarket) 5 mins away. Our major concern was the proximity of the airport. However, there is hardly any noise - you'll just notice the odd airplane 2 or 3 times a day. So don't let this put you off!

Wonderful place to stay if you like snorkelling right off the beach, water had good visibility and lots of fish and coral. Room was extremely clean and comfortable and staff were really helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Rocky for all the help he gave us and was great meeting Mona and Boy. Food in restaurant was good and really reasonable prices for food and drink and mini bar. Great having free shuttle into Lovina however wasn't a very long walk. Also great little restaurants in the town itself like Up to You, Akar - a lovely vegetarian cafe/restaurant and Jasmine a really nice Thai restaurant. Coffee at Up to You was awesome.
