We booked this hotel on the recommendation of the owner of a parrilla tour we took. It's location is pretty good to walk to the shopping on Honduras in Palermo Soho. There's also a really good Parrilla only 1 block away but I've forgotten it's name already :(. We had no reservations about walking in the area at night but always take common sense precautions just as you would in your native country. There's a coffee shop called Bonafide about a 10 minute walk away and it is so worth the walk. Great tartas and specialty coffee's. The shopping is also quite good with unique boutique stores everywhere. It's not like shopping in Canada where every store seems to sell exactly the same look. It's not bargain basement cheap but the quality is there. The bar scene on Honduras was a little overwhelming too since its all night long. Enough about the area, now the hotel. The hotel was very clean, open and bright in the reception area with a bit of an Asian flair with all the budda heads. The staff was super friendly and accomodating. I will advise that check out is at 10:00 am which is a bit early after a late night out! But again, we were well accommodated by the staff, who also stored our luggage while we went shopping before our departure. The front desk also organized a very comfortable private taxi to the airport which arrived exactly on time. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. We would definitely stay at this property again. A big thanks to the wonderful staff!!

We stayed in 2 areas of Buenas Aires on this trip. Palermo is definitely a fine destination. The Mine Hotel has bar and restaurant which are much better than expected for a small hotel. Breakfast and happy hour are notable. The small pool is fine for cooling off but not for swimming. However, the pool area is beautiful: peaceful, with waterfall and plants. The staff are excellent. They go out of their way to help, advise, and direct guests.

If you know Buenos Aires, this hotel has a great location which is central to the whole city. The room was great. There are only 17 rooms in this hotel. The only draw back was the bathroom door is made of frosted glass. Privacy in the bathroom is lacking. I would stay there again though. Great place.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fierro. The staff was very helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and the room was large and clean. The hotel is just a few short blocks to the subtle (subway) which was a great way to travel around. We highly recommend!

Comfortable, well priced boutique hotel in a tiny quiet street in classy Recoleta. Our local BA friend didn't feel Palermo was safe enough. We chose 3 in Recoleta from careful online research, then he visited each and chose Serena hands down. Clean modern lines. Bar/dining/patio area is very welcoming. Roomy rooms by BA standards with some carpet stains but generally very clean and attractive. Free wifi works. Small but serviceable and clean workout, spa and pool facilities. Helpful reception staff spoke good English and several went out of their way for us. Downsides: A missed wake up call (use your cell phone for back up) and choose your own taxi service (Pidalo is good), as the one they called charged more. We stayed twice in April/May for 1-3 nights and will definitely return next trip to BA.
