Tällberg is a Swedish pearl, nestling by Lake Siljan. While the village has more hotels than anything else, it is not "touristy", nor is Åkerblads. Some of the rooms are in the main building, parts of which are 400+ years old, others are in annexes in the garden. But this does not mean that guests are consigned to second class accommodation (though it might be a bit inconvenient for the less fleet of foot if it was bucketing down with rain!). The restaurant is large and of high quality. We went for the Summer table d'hote, which was excellent. The wine prices were sadly way beyond our reach, but the "Tällbärs" lager was good.
