We travelled to Gurgaon on June 24th for four days. We booked the hotel for its location and the previous reviews, and also because it was one of the only hotels that could accommodate four of us in one room.
We requested a cot and a single bed for our daughter. On arrival we were informed that the staff could not fit a single bed into the room, so this meant that our 7 year old had to share the kingsize bed with us. This worked out fine and she was happy. The main thing was that there was a cot in the room for our son and this was provided with fresh crisp linen and some pillows.
Everything was very clean and the staff were attentive and very helpful. Everything that you could possibly need was provided in the bathroom, shoe shine, loofah, toiletries inc toothbrush and razor etc.
We used the breakfast buffet twice and had breakfast cooked for us. Very happy with the standard of food provided. We ate lunch once at the Great Kabab Factory and the meal was fantastic. Our son who is on a wheat, gluten and dairy free diet was catered for adequately when we asked for something suitable and the staff were informed so they offered us gluten free bread for the morning breakfasts and the room service we had one morning having slept through breakfast (we were a bit jetlagged!).
The hotel provided a driver for us (Pankaj) who was brilliant. Very informative about the local area and about life in India when we asked lots of questions.
Thank you to everyone at Park Plaza!

It is a beautiful hotel and enjoyed Ajay at the desk and all of the doormen and guards, who were most attentive and protective. It certainly is not the hotel's fault that immediately outside (on the way to the metro station) is a shantytown of refugees from the flooding on the river. When you add the smell of the raw sewage in the river to the difficulty dodging traffic, negotiating the walk on uneven ground, etc., you readily see why no one (except us) is entering the Hilton "compound" except by taxi or tour bus. There are some shops open inside the hotel, but we would warn anyone that the upstairs one on the far left (re the lobby) has some serious arithmetic problems. Buyer beware here, just the same as with any bazaar dealer.

Everything you could ask for from a really good hotel in Delhi and it made the start of my trip to India very easy and enjoyable. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are of the highest quality. Excellent food and service and the building and grounds are just perfect and very atmospheric. Don't be put off by the fact this is not where most hotels are located, it just isn't an issue. They don't make enough of the fact this is only a few pleasant minutes walk from the Metro which will transport you easily over a large part of the city. As easy to get on with as London or New York and much cheaper with regular trains every few minutes and feels very safe.

The hotel appears to be new. Room met Western expectations: comfortable bed, TV, nice bathroom, minibar, air conditioning, etc. Excellent breakfast buffet included in the rate. Unlimited Internet in business center; 30 min free each day (I couldn't get my laptop to connect, though--may have been my laptop, not sure). Helpful staff allowed me to check out at 2 pm. Shopping centre across the road with shops, McDonalds, KFC, groceries, etc. Generators kicked on whenever there was a power cut. Nice swimming pool and deck that I looked at but did not use. Spa, also--did not use, though.
