I stayed here for my daughters 21st birthday & we were both extremely happy. The staff are very helpful & obliging, the complementary breakfast was a welcome bonus - always fresh & plenty of choice. The 'cheese & wine' hours were a fab addition for either a long day pick me up or before an evening activity. Our room was large & clean & the hotel is in a nice area with easy walking access to local sights & the subway. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & is suitable for families, couples & business. Thank you Hotel Giraffe

We stayed here recently for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great spot for sightseeing around central park. They serve a great breakfast options and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was on 9th floor right by the elevators but noise was not an issue at all. Room was large and roomy, bathroom pretty small but well laid out. The only issue we had was that the room was a bit hot and the air con was to loud to put on and if we opened the window the noise level was to high. Would we repeat? yes we would.

I was able to get an amazing rate at this beautiful and centrally located hotel. The service and comfort of the hotel exceeded my expectations. And the beds...oh the beds. Truly a dream to sleep in. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when traveling to NYC!

We had a lovely 4 night stay at fitzpatricks in November 2014. The room was clean and spacious for New York. I read reviews saying that you should stay on higher floors but we found the noise both from the bar downstairs and the street outside to be minimal, (we were on the third floor). The staff were very friendly and helpful. One waitress at dinner even explained that we had added a tip onto the bill which already had a tip included, it would've been easy to say nothing and myself and my wife admired her honesty. The barman was very good. Particularly helpful was the two concierges (is that the plural of concierge?) Garfield checked us in online before we left for our flight and was very friendly. Michael went above and beyond in that he booked trips for us, shopped for the best rates for shows and even went as far as locating a frozen snowglo doll which we wanted for our daughter for christmas ( there was only one left in New York and Michael located it, reserved it and texted us directions on how to get there)
All in all, we loved our trip and this was due in large part to the pleasant, helpful and unobtrusive staff of fitzpatricks grand central.

I stayed two nights at the Affinia Shelburne for business. I have never stayed in the Murray Hill area of NYC near Grand Central Station before (I usually stay high 50s on the West Side). This area was so much more convenient. With Grand Central nearby it couldn't have been easier to get to everywhere I needed to go in Manhattan (and I had to go to Queens for one meeting and that was easy too). The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and they even offered complimentary wine from 5-6pm in the lobby every evening. The lobby has a living room feel to it, unlike most hotel lobbies, so that ended up being very relaxing. It all felt so much more homey than the chain hotels where I usually stay. I will also note that the wifi was lightening fast. I will definitely stay there my next trip to NY.
