This hotel some may think has a dated style , is next to a building site and has limited height and city views but this should not deter visitors at all. This is an excellent place to stay in NYC. The beds are super- comfy, the rooms are large and comfortable with more facilities than most and no external noise was heard at any time during our stay. The staff are friendly, attentive and humorous. The breakfast is a bonus and If you intend to use the subway to get around NY, this is in the ideal position too. In short you would need to be very picky to se a fault in this hotel.

With a name like Tuscany you expect something Italian. When it was a W it was rustic-modern but dark, with a concierge across from the elevator.
Now it's a much brighter space with a marble (Italian?) reservation desk on the same level as the cafe. It makes more sense.
The rooms have been heavily renovated, but maintain a rustic-modern flair, with leather headboards and red velvet chairs. The bathrooms look amazing.

Having enjoyed many weekend breaks in New York over the last 15 years (all booked through Expedia) my daughter and I have built up a pretty fair view of a number of Midtown hotels. It would be fair to say that we have never been disappointed. However, in virtually every category, the Kitano comes out top of our list. The location on Park Avenue really could not be bettered. The staff to a man and a woman were wonderfully courteous and helpful. The style and layout of our beautiful corner twin bedded room were perfection. And a very special word of appreciation for concierge Raita who somehow managed to track down a desperately needed dentist on a Sunday morning!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room spotless. Although we could hear the bar noise early in the afternoon, by bedtime it was quiet. We celebrated my wife's birthday, and were given complimentary strawberries dipped in chocolate and champagne. Front of house staff are all Irish and easy to understand. We will definitely be staying here again when we have a trip into the city. Great place to stay for going to a show. Just one stop on the 'S' and you're in Times Square. Alternatively you can walk there in 10 minutes.

had a fantastic trip to New York, booked through expedia. everything went smoothly, the only hold up was a rather grumpy driver on the airport transfer bus who turned up late on our arrival. otherwise all arrangements went without a hitch. the hotel was great, beautifully clean rooms. attentive staff without being overbearing. everyone very friendly. they also upgraded our room without any extra payment. the photos do not do it justice. the roof top bar is stylish and smart with fantastic views. i was slightly nervous about booking everything on line but delighted that it all worked! thankyou expedia.

We got a suite which was quite roomy - a galley kitchen area with fridge, one bath, a large bedroom and a living room area with a pullout soft which my kids slept on. It was clean and quiet. You can go up to the roof and get a nice view of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby is nice and roomy and the gym was also good.
