My husband & I Stayed at the No 38 for two nights for my 40th birthday treat. I have always wanted to stay at this hotel & we were not disappointed. The only sad part was leaving to come home :( the decor throughout is truly beautiful & the period features are stunning ( esp the luxurious bath )
The continental breakfast was perfect with such a great variety of choice. Overall a wonderful stay & would love to return !!!!!! Thankyou No 38 .....

We stayed at Cowley Manor for 2 nights after our wedding and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel facilities and grounds were fantastic and the food excellent, especially breakfast. I found the evening meal we had in the restaurant slightly over-priced at £118 (exc. tip) for 2 x 3 course meal plus a £26 bottle of wine but that didn't detract from the overall experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Cowley Manor to anyone who fancies a relaxing couple of days away, particularly if the weather is good which enables the hotel grounds to be enjoyed to their fullest.

My partner and I were thoroughly delighted with our stay. The hotel is beautiful on approach, inside and throughout the grounds. The receptionist was very friendly and professional and even though there were guests arriving for a wedding we did not feel rushed or less important. Our room was beautiful - huge, modern, clean and with plenty of light. It was raining when we arrived so we killed some time in the free sauna and steam rooms!! We also ate dinner at the hotel and it was gorgeous!! Our only disappointment was that we were only staying for one night. In fact, maybe I shouldn't be sharing this in case it's fully booked when we next want to go...

We needed accommodation close to Thornbury town.We chose this as it was a good price and only needed one night. We were very pleasantly suprised to find it was so good. Staying in the lodge just a few yards from the main golf club, where we had breakfast served by a very friendly lady. James who was on duty at our time of stay was also very helpful and pleasant.I thought how nice it would be for a wedding venue.

We have stayed at the Swan Hotel for two nights and we had an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel rooms are very pretty, and you really do get to have a sense of what it is like to be living in one of those houses in the villages. Despite the building looking (and most likely being) traditional, the interiors are nicely maintained and was very clean. Hotel staff were very helpful. I highly recommend you spending at least one night at Bibury as you will it is so much more peaceful and beautiful in the morning and evenings when there are less tourists around. I would certainly go back to the Swan Hotel if I go back to Bibury.
