We stayed in a yurt. Clean. No tv or other distractions. Wonderful pool, 50 acre exploration, awesome food. Staying in a yurt is a fun experience.

"A beautiful aloha experience!"
We reserved the cottage for an overnight on the east side of the island and wished we had made plans to stay longer! The outside hot tub, isolated and quiet area with brilliant stars, birds singing in the morning were a wonderful escape! The creative loving care in the interior design made our brief stay special! We will return but stay longer!

"heaven on earth!"
I definitely love this place, all 5 stars!! We arrived late and tired that night, just got out of the plane had nothing to eat, surprisingly, the staff showed us there were enough food and snacks, even fresh fruits stocked in the room, free to eat! We couldn't be more happy and grateful!! The room is very cozy and romantic, we hung the curtain in the daytime so we could live in the tropical forest. The only downside is the wifi not so good however not a big deal. We didn't even want to step out of the room in the daytime and had our volcano tour behind the schedule! 99.99% satisfaction if the wifi is better:P You might find a big and overweight black cat around, like a fat pillow on the floor, super cute!

"Nice condo, decently equipped"
Great option for the Waikoloa area, if you want a bit more freedom or privacy that afforded by one of the big hotel chains. It is a 2-mile walk to the nearest sandy beach (which takes you through the Hilton golf course, the Marriott complex, and onto the Lava Lava Beach Club). It is a pretty walk - take good shoes to clamber the rocky path. Flip flops won't work. There is an (overpriced but decent) supermarket in the Queen's Shops), and a slightly-bigger, slightly-cheaper Foodland 7 miles North. Get groceries in Kona if you are serious about trying to minimize your shopping cost. We stayed in Unit 18C. It was a very comfortable unit. We were slightly surprised to find one of the bedrooms locked. (We HAD only paid for 2 people, but had not expected to have to share the one double bed in the only bedroom available to us, but it wasn’t a big deal.) The whole complex is well maintained. The food at the pool bar and restaurant is good (especially the fish tacos and the nachos) and portions are huge – and some meal items are half price at Happy Hour (which is 2-5pm).

"Beautiful setting. "
We had a view of both the golf course and the ocean. Gorgeous! When you go, take advantage of the private beach club and restaurant (Napu). It's really special. The front desk is not as helpful as they could be. We had a power outage for several hours one night and no one offered any assistance other than to say they were sorry. The person on duty said they were unable to help because they were "off the clock". Not a great attitude. All else was perfect.

"Very great experience!"
This hotel is very good. it has everything you need however, you do need to pay the resort fee daily which includes parking. Also a microwave is extra and good to have. the resort restaurant is expensive but good. But there are other options near by. room has a small fridge and Kona is only 20 min away. You do need a car to experience the island. You can rent at the hotel or airport. The best thing about this hotel is the people. Especially Amanda at the concierge desk. She is the absolute best. She can direct you on any activity and sign you up for the most amazing vacation you will have. Amanda has great experience and can give you the inside scoop on the places to go! She is amazing. Go to her orientation when you arrive. It is at 8:30 and she will make you vacation special, like she did ours The big island is terrific and I would encourage you to experience it for more than the volcano's. This is a fabulous sport for a holiday it has everything you could want!

"Beautiful quiet hotel right on the beach."
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. We ate dinner at the hotel's Coast Grille and the food was amazing! The staff was very friendly and treated us with true Aloha. The pool is so inviting and the beach is private with chairs and umbrellas available for guests. You really cannot go wrong if you are looking for a relaxing beach resort with top of the line restaurants and shops.
