I found this hotel to be well suited during my relatively short stay in HK (approx. 5days). I found the staff to be extremely friendly and most accommodating, allowing me to check in as early as 7am instead of the normal 2pm. It helped that my room was already available when I arrived so it was nice to be able to rest after a long flight in. Thank you to the staff who made me feel at home. Will definitely stay here again.

"Nice hotel but a little far from hobg kong station"
The hotel was very nice, the stuff helpful, it comes with free mini bar and a complimentary loot bag with skittles, m&ms and lays potato chips. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice.
The only downside is that it is in aberdeen that is far from hong kong station (about 80 hkd taxi ride from there)

Very very nice hotel, staff were helpful and polite. My partner and i loved our room and service with our mini fridge replenished everyday. Its not located to far from anything 15-20 minute train ride. The MTR is just around the corner.
I would recommend anyone that wants a luxurious stay at a good price. Great job guys, keep up the work

It's a boutique hotel so it's smaller than what you would usually expect, however it all works perfectly. From the beautiful rooftop patio where we'd go for drinks to start the evening to the very cosy rooms. I was travelling through asia for 3 weeks and this hotel was one of my favourites.
Have breakfast in their cafe. The coffee and pastries there are delicious, if you enjoy a nice cappuccino to start the day look no further than this place. Remarkable in all aspects. This is a quality hotel you won't be "slumming" it here. The price in my opinion is also unbeatable. They also give you an android smartphone to use while you're staying (which we turned into a wifi hotspot and tethered our phones with it to stay connected at all times) .. this was a HUGE perk.. no need to find the nearest starbucks to get your emails.
I must say though if you're a younger guy and are looking to party it up on the other island (where are the clubs are) this might not be the ideal place for you. This is a good place to go shopping in the local shopping malls and markets as well as restaurants. We'd go party every night but the cab fares at times were a little high (not because of the distance.. but because cabbies like taking people for a ride.. never get in a cab without negotiating the price first.. lesson learned).

We were having trouble finding a hotel that would accommodate 3 adults and 1 child for 1 night. In hong kong, the hotels are super expensive with no decent bed sizes. Before booking with Expedia, we called the hotel to confirm the description that was on the site. For example, on the site it said "1 double bed, 2 twins beds". It is misleading on the site. When I called the hotel to ask for clarification, they said that they do not have twin beds and that it should be single beds instead. Also, once you try to book it on Expedia, it only gives you the option of either "1 double bed" or "2 twin beds". To sum this up, the description should really be, "1 double bed OR 2 single beds". I would give Expedia some fault on this because if I chose to not call the hotel, I would have booked the wrong thing. So what ended up happening is that I ended up booking a king size bedroom and called the hotel back to ask if I could add a 3rd bed. The man said it was fine at an extra cost. When I had arrived at the hotel, the manager there had understood my accommodation needs (2 adults and 1 child) and upgraded me to a suite. This was really nice of her to do this and I appreciate the great hospitality. Because of this, I ended up not needing to pay for the extra bed. I paid a standard room on Expedia but had a wonderful suite that had 2 bathrooms, 3 marble sinks, 1 shower a living room area that had a couch and was separate from the king size bedroom.

We enjoyed three nights at the Mercer. The room and facilities are excellent with great beds and linens, the breakfast very good, and the hotel very quiet and peaceful. The included mini bar was a plus. What we especially liked was the location. It is minutes walk from the metro and the Macau ferry but also away from the commercial downtown area. It is located in an area filled with local businesses, especially many "local medicine" shops selling all kinds of herbs, snakes, bird nests, etc that was very interesting to browse through. We would not have seen this area if we had not stayed at the Mercer.
