"Lovely hotel, fantastic facilities"
Found the hotel, whilst we were staying in Spain. As we have two little children (aged 3 and 1), we wanted a hotel for a one night stop over on the way to Disneyland in Paris. Only wished we stayed longer. All the staff we met were lovely. The outside pool is a great size, though was a little cold for our one year old, which is of course to be expected, the lifeguard was so kind, she noticed he was a little cold and went and got him a towel so I could wrap him in it whilst still playing with the three year old in the paddling pool. There was a big thunder storm whilst we were staying at the hotel, and you could hear this from the room, but we couldn't hear anything else. You do have to pay extra for the underground parking (currently 15 Euros a night), which was a little steep, but reassuring that our car was secure, as it had all our things in it for our road trip. We would definitely stay here again if we are driving from England to Spain in the future.

Pocket Guide: Lyon La Croix Rousse 4 stars Hotels

La Croix Rousse once contained many of the workhouses and factories which allowed Lyon to become a dominant force in Europe's silk production. Stroll along the Saône River on Quai Sain-Vincent or attend a performance at the Opéra de Lyon. The neighborhood also contains a number of narrow alleys, called traboules, which once served workers, and can now be explored with a guided tour.
