I have stayed at this hotel several times since my first visit. It is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of Lagos. The surprising thing about the hotel is that it offers one a complete departure from the fast paced life of the city while being centrally located. This means that you can choose to relax by the pool without being bothered by the sounds of the city, or you can choose to visit one of the many attractions that Lagos has to offer. The reception was really helpful with this. They managed to show a local like me a thing or two about the city. The decor of the hotel puts several others to shame. The lounges and rooms were airy and cool, with beautiful pieces of furniture. Even the art was impressive, showing off the best of what Africa had to offer. It seemed like a gallery. The gym is fully equipped with a capable instructor on stand-by. I have long since registered with the gym. The bar was pleasant, with poolside seating in the midst of one of the finest tropical gardens i have ever seen and the food was fantastic as well. The staff were cordial and friendly without being over bearing. The rooms were comfortable, fully equipped with a well stocked mini fridge, quick wired internet and satellite television. The power shower and good quality toiletries only helped improve the experience. By the end of my first night I was literally left speechless and begging for more.
