We needed a place to stay for 3 days unsupported (no local friends or family) in london and on a tight budget. We struck gold with this Best Western. A plenty big room (by London standards), lots of power outlets for charging our various stuff, a great shower, friendly staff, and easy access to a tube station and bus stop. Its about a 10 min walk to Hounslow East and a short tube ride into central London for anything you want to do there. Its an even shorter ride to Heathrow when its time to leave. There is a great little pub called The Black Horse across the street, all indian food, but its amazing, try the butter chicken its the best we have had anywhere. If you are staying for a while there is a laundromat on the way to the station, left side of the east side of the street just near the mini roundabout. its cash only but really fast machines and plenty friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel so I cant tell you anything about that but the bar seemed nice enough for a quick drink. In short, a gem for travelers looking for a nice stay without going broke. We travel a lot and will be returning next time we are in London.

Where to begin... I was SO sad when I checked out, because I'd had SUCH a nice stay that I didn't want to leave.
I travel to London frequently so 1) I know what typical central London hotels are like and 2) I'm simply unwilling to spend over $200 (USD) a night on a single room during off-season. I've stayed in some pretty crazy places, and my prorities are privacy, cleanliness, and security. The night I stayed at Mornington, in fact, I had stayed in 2 different hotels that week. All were in the $90-150 (USD) a night range (you're just not getting cheaper than that in Central London unless your standards are really low). My room at Mornington was small, but extremely well-appointed. The en-suite shower and toilet was shocking spacious (no tiny London stall!), and very modern. The actual bedroom was small, but not nearly as small as most. There was a single bed (sooo comfortable too), a suitcase stand, a chair in the corner, a desk, and a night stand. Without any furniture the room would have been abnormally large for a London room, with, there was about 3 feet of clearance all around the bed. I had a nice window to get fresh air, a large flat-screen TV, and a phone in my room. Clever storage maximizes the space (hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and safe in closet. Kettle and service inside the large desk door).

Superb small hotel located in a quiet side street only a two minute walk from Earls Court Tube Station, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The staff were extremely polite and very efficient. The room was not the largest room i have ever stayed in, but was perfectly adequate.
The room was very well presented and cleaned to a very high standard, we certainly couldn't find fault with anything.

Absolutely excellent hotel. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and efficient and we were take straight to a very nice room but there was a problem with the radiator. It would not turn off so the room was very hot. The lady who showed us in tried to sort it but couldn't and 15 mins later a man appeared with a new valve but that didnt fix it either so we were given another room which turned out to be a suite, which was very nice. Both rooms were clean and bright with plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries in the bathroom. We had a very good nights sleep and an excellent buffet breakfast in the morning. All in all a great hotel that I would recommend to anyone.
