Stayed one night before flying out from Heathrow. Excellant service, right down to being able to print out boarding passes. Lovely room, all amenities for making coffee/tea. Large tv so you see it lying in bed. Room was spotless as was the shower. Restaurant was great with ample choices.

Where to begin... I was SO sad when I checked out, because I'd had SUCH a nice stay that I didn't want to leave.
I travel to London frequently so 1) I know what typical central London hotels are like and 2) I'm simply unwilling to spend over $200 (USD) a night on a single room during off-season. I've stayed in some pretty crazy places, and my prorities are privacy, cleanliness, and security. The night I stayed at Mornington, in fact, I had stayed in 2 different hotels that week. All were in the $90-150 (USD) a night range (you're just not getting cheaper than that in Central London unless your standards are really low). My room at Mornington was small, but extremely well-appointed. The en-suite shower and toilet was shocking spacious (no tiny London stall!), and very modern. The actual bedroom was small, but not nearly as small as most. There was a single bed (sooo comfortable too), a suitcase stand, a chair in the corner, a desk, and a night stand. Without any furniture the room would have been abnormally large for a London room, with, there was about 3 feet of clearance all around the bed. I had a nice window to get fresh air, a large flat-screen TV, and a phone in my room. Clever storage maximizes the space (hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and safe in closet. Kettle and service inside the large desk door).

Absolutely excellent hotel. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and efficient and we were take straight to a very nice room but there was a problem with the radiator. It would not turn off so the room was very hot. The lady who showed us in tried to sort it but couldn't and 15 mins later a man appeared with a new valve but that didnt fix it either so we were given another room which turned out to be a suite, which was very nice. Both rooms were clean and bright with plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries in the bathroom. We had a very good nights sleep and an excellent buffet breakfast in the morning. All in all a great hotel that I would recommend to anyone.

This hotel is in a great location close to High St Kensington station, bus stop, shopping, restaurants and parks. I stayed in a beautiful double room on the 4th floor with many windows and a large bathroom. It was very spacious and impressively quite for the location. I would definitely stay here again. A 3 minute walk to the tube is wonderful. The only downside is only stairs to the first floor to reach the lift. I also found the single rooms to be extremely small so I recommend the double. The staff was very professional and accommodating. There is also a great little place to eat next door, The Giraffe.
