This really is a very nice hotel. We went on a super-quick last minute business trip, and the hotel was the highlight of the visit! - Very friendly staff, check in was quick and convenient. The rooms we had were LARGE - with a great HUGE shower. Internet = superfast and free. Rooms was also brand new and spotlessly cleaned. The hotel has a great roof-top terrace with fantastic views and lots of friendly people. Clearly a cool and trendy hang-out in Madrid. Our definite place to stay on the next visit!

Wonderful hotel with a great location, right next to the metro, but also walkable to great restaurants and shops.
The service at reception was excellent, and everyone we met on the reception desk was very helpful and so pleasant, nothing was too much trouble.
The room was impeccably clean, and serviced every day with clean towels.

Great hotel really impressed me clean modern sophisticated look. Asked for certain items such as 3.5mm jack wire which is a long shot and they provided it. Breakfast food vast and fresh. Only gripe was the hallway concrete flooring was a bit uneven with bumps, possible trip hazard etc. But very minor in the grand scheme of things.

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times before this stay! It is on a main street with great views. The hotel has good size rooms. The bathrooms are small and the internet is very slow and often does not connect, BUT it is a good value for the money. I recommend it for couples, or single travelers. There are so many restaurants by the hotel and shopping is down the street. Also main attractions and sightseeing and metro are all close.

We used this hotel as an overnight stop during a drive up from Marbella before our flight home from Madrid-Barajas airport the following day. The room was clean and spacious and accommodated the five of us amply. The room had a free mini fridge and free wifi. The ensuite was immaculate. The undercover allocated parking under the room was a real bonus. Despite arriving late into the evening the cafeteria was still open (til 11pm) with a full and varied menu to choose from. It was worth paying a little bit more at the time of booking for an inclusive buffet breakfast which set us up nicely for the day. The staff were extremely polite and friendly and assisted us with a late check-out (2pm) at no extra cost. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would use again.

Had a fabulous time and was really happy with the choice of Hotel. We had certain requirements which was to be near to but not on top of the city centre and for the hotel to have a nice pool to relax by as it was going to be hot! All the staff from the reception through to the waitresses and cleaners were cheerful, polite and helpful. We arrived early and were offered an upgraded room if we would like to wait for an hour. This was unexpected but gratefully accepted as we were happy to go for a look around the facilities and have the first holiday drink in the bar. Our room was lovely and we then took refuge on a sun bed at the pool. Only issue was that the water temperature was really cold but some people may find this refreshing. Overall we found the Melia Castilla to be good value for money.
