So the positives for this hotel are that the staff are really lovely and are very willing to help. The rooms are fabulous and clean and they gave a lovely bottle of champagne and a basket of fruit on our arrival which was a lovely touch. The beds are comfortable and the walk in shower is wonderful. The breakfasts are great with a huge variety of healthy to not so healthy. This is a wonderful business/conference facility.
The negatives of this hotel are, the main historic hotel is currently just a shell, there is no pool and nowhere outside to sit and relax. The only area where this could be possible is outside the breakfast restuarant which shut at 10.30am everyday and the sprinklers were on the grass making this impossible. The building work started at 8am every day and was very noisy. The hotel informed us the week before travel that the pool wasn't ready, they said it would be ready in October, they forgot to mention which October - the work is not scheduled to finish until October 2014! They arranged for us to go to the Therme to use their pool with transport laid on, however the Therme doesn't have a pool. We felt we were misled by the hotel as we had a 3 way conversation with them and Expedia before we went, there is no mention on their website of the extent of renovations and all this was known when we booked our holiday in early March by the hotel but they waited until it was impossible for us to book elsewhere and then did not give us the full facts.

We stayed for 3 nights and after a minor problem with the original room we were moved to a gorgeous suite.Very happy and impressed by staff and facilities. We decided on a hire car at last moment so the hotel car parking spaces were all taken but the underground car park is around 80 metres away and secure for only 6 euros for 24 hrs so no problem.

Super hotel in the Alpine Village of Champoluc, very luxurious with plenty of exposed wood and stone and decorated to a very high standard. The rooms are very well appointed if a little small. There is a very comfortable lounge on the upper ground floor and a lovely dining room on the ground floor with Antique furniture and all candle lit so quite romantic. The food usually consists of four courses with a choice of four different dishes within each course, these are prepared and cooked to an extremely high standard using fresh ingredients. There is also an extensive wine list to choose from.
The staff all all very polite and accomodating and I would not hesiate to recommend this hotel most highly.
