The hotel is right in the heart of the city centre, round the corner from the tram stop. 25 Euros in a taxi from the airport delivered us to the front door and were greeted by exceptional reception staff who booked us in painlessly. I had occasion during our trip to need a doctor which was all handled and arranged with reception.
The facilities in the hotel are excellent, rooftop pool is a little small and a tad cold even thought told that the heating was on.
Huge selection for breakfast but is on the pricey side if it is not included in your package.
Rooms are of a good standard, well maintained and cleaned with daily housekeeping. More tea bags would have been useful rather than just one each per day so we ended up buying a packet and some milk and keeping in the mini bar fridge which was fine.

We arrived late but the manager was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant had closed but he prepared two lovely platters of food for us. We had been travelling all day and this meant so much. The manager is one of the best we have experienced. The room was excellent as was the breakfast.

The hotel is an absolute nightmare to find, there are no signs at all.....however once we eventually found the hotel it was beyond our expectations. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom was excellent. Only two slight issues we had 1. The pool area could have been cleaner 2. The bar/cafe didn't stay open long enough, it should be open until at least 22:00. The area around the hotel is still under construction and can at times be noisy, also there ate no restaurants or bars within walking distance which wasn't good. All in all I would recommend this hotel

It was easy to get to and from by tram, by foot and by car. Close to Antiogone and not far from Comedie Sq. It was very stylish especially in the rooms. Staff were helpful and it was easy to self cater when we weren't eating out. Great little gym and pool.

The hotel is close to the main railway line, just off main drag. Street relatively quiet. Easy to find. Restaurants and shops very close by. Trams to burbs and beach close at hand. This hotel is a deal. It is relatively cheap for such a high quality, rather old and grand establishment. Staff extremely helpful. This has to be one of the best hotels that I have stayed in for the money that I paid. I have no hesitation in recommending about staying here.

Overall our stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff couldn't have been any more helpful. The hotel and its facilities were excellent. Its location to the main carriageway was excellent for touring about the region. There was only one issue, which there was no alternative for us. I was travelling with my cousin and her two daughters, aged 12 and 14. We had booked a family room and the room provided had one double bed and one sofa bed with two fold out beds.
The plan had been for my cousin to share the double with her youngest daughter and I and her eldest would have one of the fold out beds. Unfortunately, on inspecting the mattress on the fold out bed, found that it was extremely thin and sitting on it, you could feel the springs of the metal bed through it. As I have a bad back, I knew it would be impossible for me to sleep on this, and if I had attempted it, I would not have been able to walk the next day. I spoke with the staff on reception but there was no alternative that they could offer. My only option was to sleep in the double bed, which was complicated by the fact that my cousin and daughters didn't want to share a bed with me. So we ended up using the cushions from the sofa bed to make up another bed on the floor, which was much more comfy than the fold out beds.
It is not always the case that a family is made up of a couple and their children. Solution for this issue, would be to have a double bed which can be separated into twin beds.
