"Lovely boutique hotel for city break"
This hotel has everything you need for a city break. Breakfast is perfectly fine, pastries, bread and eggs, with bread and fruit. Very helpful staff - especially when we needed to move rooms. Near the city centre but away enough for a little break after sightseeing! Would go back and recommend to family and friends.

This hotel Is in a very quiet residential neighborhood with excellent multilingual staff. The bed needs a comfort update, but the room is adequate for a couple but could not support a family vacation. Good bus access to central Rome.

"Fine hotel near the metro"
This is a decent hotel as long as you're OK with not being near the core tourist area of the city. It's just a 5 minute walk to the B1 line of the metro, so it only takes about 30 minutes to get to the center anyway. (Unless there happens to be a transit strike, like there was for one of the days I was staying there. In that case, it's a looong walk.) There are several restaurants in the area though (I recommend Pizzeria la Conca d'Oro), and it's certainly a quieter, less touristy area, so I was happy with it. The hotel was clean and modern. The included breakfast included a lot of pastries, and eggs/meat/cheese/yogurt/etc. - but the only fruit available was canned peaches, and on a couple days there was no fruit at all. I like my morning fruit! My only other complaint is that the staff, though polite, didn't seem to follow through on things they said they would do. The TV in my room wasn't receiving any channels, so I asked if they could take a look. It wasn't done by the next day. I asked again, and they said "Oh, I think it's been done now." It hadn't been. The third time I asked, they sent a person up and the problem was fixed. Same thing for the towel heater - it notified them that it wasn't working, but nothing was ever done. Overall I found the hotel to be good value.

"Great Little Treasure"
I had a great room. It was small, but it was for me alone. Room was clean and well appointed. I had a large L-shaped balcony that overlooked a treed quiet are behind the hotel. Staff directed me to a good restaurant. About 10 minute wald from Bologna Metro station, so you have to be physically able. Internet in the lobby was the WORST I have seen in the world...including India and Argentina. Make sure you have your own internet plan.

"Get away from the Center of Rome"
As the other reviews have emphasized, this hotel is not in the touristy center of Rome, but a little more towards the residential areas outside the City's inner loop. Far from being a liability, I think that's one of this hotel's strengths from the perspective of an international traveler. We bought the one week transit pass which gives you unlimited transit access and saved a ton on taxis. There is an express bus which is close to the hotel which will take you downtown, but it's slow. The Metro is much faster, but a bit more of a hike (though you get to see and visit all the little shops and restaurants on the way). Being outside of the city center, you can find much more reasonable prices for food at the nearby restaurants. Several of the nearby sit down places were excellent, with fresh high quality handmade pastas. Plenty of Gellato nearby, And there's a particular pizza by the pound shop near the metro station where a couple can eat a decent meal for about $8 total if you're feeling tapped out. The hotel was in good condition and the rooms were comfortable. We were there in June, when it gets quite warm in Rome and I think the A/Cs in the room could use a little maintenance. Breakfast was good. The property is very charming, and has a great rooftop balcony to sit and socialize in the cool summer evening. I probably slept better here then I would have in the noisy downtown area, and it was cheaper. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great hotel!"
Had a lovely 4 night stay at Relais 6 Hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean. It was great to have a free mini bar and a nice touch, that they supplied appetisers for free, with our evening drinks, before heading out for dinner. Great, quiet location, within easy walking distance to Metro and buses. Hotel staff made our visit special. They were very helpful and accommodating- just seemed pleased to be able to help. Bar staff in particular, chatty and made you feel at home. A great individual hotel, which makes a pleasant change to the same old hotel chains!
