Stayed at this hotel, and what a fantastic experience it was.
From the moment of arrival, the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The grounds and amenities were excellent, spent several hours just walking the grounds looking at the herds of deer, the Falconry centre, and the various lakes.
Can not praise the whole package offered enough.

To find a hotel during the busiest season which was willing to put us up for one night was fantastic but this one was a real find! The location was beautiful - stunning views, peaceful and full of character. As we are avid walkers, we will be going back at some stage to take advantage of the area as it is walking country. A lovely weekend - just what the doctor ordered!

We were greeted by the owner and her very friendly well behaved dog as we parked the car and immediately made to feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and every effort had been made to make sure we had just what wen wanted - even a phone call that morning to check whether we required a double bed or twin beds. Breakfast was excellent - a most pleasant stay.

We stayed at Burnley House for one night. We were welcomed by the owners who were an extremely friendly and accommodating couple. As we arrived quite late, they went out of their way to phone local pubs and restaurants to book us in for a meal.
The bedroom was lovely and clean with little complimentary chocolates and biscuits and the ensuite bathroom was very luxurious.
I would say that the breakfast was probably the best I've ever had in a guesthouse.
Overall, a lovely little find and ideally located on the edge of the North York Moors. We hope to go back soon!

I can't rate this highly enough. The garden rooms are wonderful. Loved the heated floor in the gorgeous bathroom. Facilities in the room include a cafetiere and ground coffee, and fresh milk in the fridge. Really comfortable bed. Liked the remote control for the blinds, and the patio doors to your private outside seating area. It would be good to come in the winter time and use the log effect fire in the room. Excellent food in the restaurant and great breakfast. We would definitely recommend it and will go again.
