Beautiful quaint little pub with lovely accommodation at the back, the rooms were lovely and spacious, very comfortable bed with lovely soft bedding, didn't want to get up! The food was fantastic, definitely restaurant quality, The sticky toffee pudding was to die for, I had to buy some to bring home!

"Lovely location within easy reach of Lancaster"
Very short last minute visit so not sure what to expect. Clearly very well managed on all levels. Only suggestions for improvement was for some additional pillows in the bedroom. The room we had wasn't the best as it backed onto the kitchen extractors, but it certainly wasn't sold to us as anything glam! Bed was comfy and bathroom beautifully clean and very well done. Towels lovely and large and soft, and to top it all the restaurant food was a delight.

Pocket Guide: Lancashire Preston 4 stars Eviivo Small Hotels

Once a thriving mill town, Preston has felt the pinch of de-industrialization like much of the northeast. The city is peppered with beautiful old buildings including the Harris Museum and St John's Minster. The River Ribble runs through the south of the city, where the old docks are undergoing regeneration. A little further up the Ribble is Brockholes: a nature reserve with bird-watching hides.
