This is a beautiful and well appointed hotel in a little village in the mountains, very close to Rome.
Our room was quite large for Italy, very clean and the linens were gorgeous! The staff very friendly and extremely attentive. The restaurant at the hotel is five star, also the restaurants on this little street are gourmand and noteworthy. We will definitely return!

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It's a little further from the metro than some of the other hotels, but the smaller, fancier, quieter setting makes up for that. The room was nice. The bed took up most of the room but it was a giant bed. The bathroom was giant though. Breakfast was great and people were nice. There are no outlets by a mirror which makes getting ready a bit more difficult. Overall I recommend it, especially if you dont want to be right in the middle of it all. Since that can be a bit dirtier and louder!

We stayed at the Aldrovandi Residence for seven nights from the 3rd to the 10th December. We found it very comfortable with excellent beds, well appointed rooms, a good breakfast, and terrific staff. The hotel is situated on a main tram route so you can catch a number 19 tram down to Risorgimento, right by the Vatican for €1.5. This €1.5 fare will get you to all sorts of places within the city. Stay at the Aldrovandi and you don't need taxis. There is a computer and a printer available for guests as well as free wifi. The staff are very welcoming and extremely good at what they do.
On a couple of evenings after a hard days culture we did not feel like going out for dinner so we used the good cooking and dining facilities in our room to make dinner there. A Carrefour supermarket with everything you need is about ten minutes walk away.
Book it. You won't regret it.

We booked the hotel so that we could walk to most of the places of interest in Rome. It was extremely convenient and also surrounded by so many restaurants and bars.
Upon arrival, we were told about the mix-up of our reservation. My heart sank briefly, but the manager organised everything to our satisfaction in a speedy, professional manner. All the staff were very helpful and Anna at the reception gave us great suggestions for places to eat.
Their spa was also a big plus point. It is available at a very reasonable price and the whirlpool felt fantastic to my tired body after a long day of sightseeing!
