Hotel Flora is a classy and sophisticated hotel. Beautiful garden full of water fountains and large Camilia trees and a lawn for guests to sit out and enjoy. A very large and spacious lobby with an elevator to the rooms. Staff are very discreet and friendly. The air conditioned room was very light, airy with a large bed and modern furnishings with a generous terrace (with a table and chairs) giving a sensational view of the trees, hills and grand old villas in the distance. Sky TV was available with scores of channels in several languages. The marble bathroom was huge with all the usual furnishings of a grand hotel. The shower was a bit tricky but it was OK in the end.Breakfast was a feast, no complaints at all.The staff were very kind and friendly. Road noise was not a problem at all, the hotel was very quiet so sleep was not interrupted.
A wonderful, luxurious experience.

Have to recommend this hotel. Staff welcoming and professional. Breakfast tasty with lots of choice and certain items cooked fresh on request. Our room was very suitable for the three of us. A doluble for my husband and I and a small side area for our son which could be curtained off.Even access to a private terrace. Yes the bathroom decor is old but the shower works just fine with loads of hot water and fluffy towels and even bathrobes. Would love to stay here again-make sure you prebook Vatican and Colosseum if you're planning to go to avoid ques. Vincente gave us good advice re travelling around Rome. Everything in the hotel is very clean and the public areas are quiet and beautifully decorated. Never used the bar-out sight seeing to the point of exhaustion. They even booked private airport transfers for us both ways- stress free!

The River Palace Hotel, close to all the major attractions of antiquity in Rome, is comfortable, clean, and has an excellent staff willing to help you maximize your time in Rome. The breakfast which comes with your room rate is absolutely fine and has a wide array of items. They will also custom brew double espressos for you.
They let us check out a little later without a fee and helped arrange an excellent ride to the airport.
The bathroom was well equipped. Both the room and the bathroom were a little on the small side, but this is Rome and the service was exemplary.
Definitely would stay again.

We were a family of 4 and this was a great hotel for us. The room, the staff everything was perfect. The only thing negative is it is a little far off from the center of town, but easily accessible by public transportation.

I usually like staying in modern boutique hotels that could grace that cover of Dwell magazine but this little classic hotel really charmed me with it's solid comfort and convenient location by Ponte Sisto. It's an easy stroll into Trastevere for a great meal or into the more touristy Campo Di Fiore for a night cap. The front desk was polite and very capable. Every question was answered with solid information. Every request was honored with cheerfulness. It's been a long time since I have been to a hotel that's got it right in all aspects. I had not expected this from what I assumed would be a tourist class property.
While the designs aren't cutting edge (which is kind of nice. It doesn't feel pretentious.), the hotel is immaculately clean and pleasantly decorated with lots of marble floors and italian hardwood furniture. The included continental breakfast was tasty with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Perhaps the most unique feature for a hotel this price is the vast rooftop garden and the peaceful inner courtyard. My mom had a lovely time hunting for ripped lemons among the potted root top fruit trees.
We really loved our stay here. It made our Roman holiday memorable and very comfortable.
