Owners were very helpful in arranging for tours and tickets to various Salzburg sites and events. The property is on a little side street that is quiet and within 10 minutes of Salzburg shops. Of course, Sound of Music tours are prevalent and enjoyable.

Flew to Salzburg on Friday & stayed overnight en-route for Austrian ski holiday. Very convenient for airport, extremely clean and the staff were very helpful. Good continental breakfast with bacon & eggs also available freshly cooked to order. Room was pleasant, quiet & comfortable. Would certainly stay there again.

We recently visited Salzburg for the Christmas markets and chose to stay at the Am Dom. - it was a great experience.
The hotel is ideally located for both the markets and strolling around beautiful Salzburg itself.
In addition the team at the hotel were superb - from the initial warm reception to sightseeing advice and organising printing of boarding passes and taxi's for our departure - they simply couldn't do enough to help.
All this complimented by a really well appointed room and a good continental breakfast I would definitely recommended this hotel for a short stay in Salzburg.

The hotel was just a short bus ride from the Salzburg train station and easy to get to after having it explained by the tourist info booth in the train station. We were two families with young children (five children total) and stayed for one night, but after this experience would have stayed more if time allowed. We took three double rooms. If you have an infant you could probably sleep with him/her in your bed - but if you have one older child you would want a rollaway (which the hotel can provide), and if you have two or more children, you will probably want two rooms. If you are traveling with a stroller as we did, take note - the hotel has an elevator, but you will have to negotiate a small staircase to get to it. And, at least on our floor (third floor), the floor is split into two levels with a staircase down from the elevator to some of the rooms. This was not a huge inconvenience and would certainly not stop us from returning, but it is something to be aware of if you have bulky items with you. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant - it was very cozy and we enjoyed the food. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and in both cases the service provided by the staff was excellent. The quality of the free wi-fi was also great.

Well located hotel with the opportunity to taste the best street in the new town but only a stones throw from the old town. V.knowledgable staff on reception, friendly breakfast and bar staff. Free tea and coffee between 2-6pm was a nice touch but could have done with a kettle in the room.
Loved the dvd library at reception. Would definitely stay again.
