"Total relaxation in Paradise"
We had a great stay at Return to Paradise, the only downside was - 5 days - too short. We had chosen to go to this resort as we had visited the beach on our very first trip to Samoa, 22 years ago & remembered the beauty of it. We knew the history of the beach as my husband's Grandmother had a part in the movie, she was the chiefs wife - part of the family story. We were not disappointed, the beach is still beautiful & the resort has been built in a very sympathetic way to keep it looking pristine. We stayed in a Tree view room, very spacious with lovely balcony & views out over the complex & onto the beach. The marble floors & bathroom are truly beautiful, bed very comfortable & great airconditioning, which we needed the first night but then just had the windows open from then on, fully insect screened. The room came with insect repellent and bug spray supplied, which if you are like me and get bitten by everything, you will need - a very nice & appreciated touch. The staff were outstanding, so polite, nothing was an issue for them. We dined at the resort most nights, the food was very good, great selection. We also attended a screening of the Return to Paradise movie, which I think is going to be a regular event, & even though by today's standards, a little hokey, the quality was very good. Our meal was served in the viewing room with popcorn to follow great touch. Jim, Rona & Raz have done a great job & know it will continue to get better. Will be returning soon.

"Great place to relax in Samoa"
We stayed in an ocean view room at Sinalei resort for 4 nights. It is a truly wonderful place, set on a nice sheltered beach with manicured gardens through out. The rooms are first class, spacious, modern and well appointed. The restaurant is amazing, with a large variety of both samoan and contemporary choices available. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and can organize transfers, car hire and tours. This is great as Sinalei is close to some of Upolou's main attractions. Also, It is next door to Coconuts resort, which is a nice place to check out for a meal or cocktail. A cultural day is held on Wednesday at Sinalei, (and Coconuts has a similar day on Saturday which we attended), and was close to the highlight of the trip for us. It includes an umu cooking demonstration, fire dancing, singing and kava. Great fun, a must see while in samoa. All up, a great place to stay In Upolou. Highly recommended!

"The best resort in Samoa - with a few caveats"
First of all, the photos do not do the place justice. We were blown away by how beautiful the buildings were, the craftsmanship of the rooms, and the amazing setting of the resort. Visually, it's absolutely stunning. The pool is great, I heard good things about the in-house spa facilities, and the beaches are great for swimming (not much to see from a snorkeling perspective though). A few of the staff members were incredibly helpful and conversational, a few weren't - I'm not blaming them, I think it's maybe a cultural shyness or lack of English ability. Regardless, I'm not going to go to someone else's country and expect them to be fluent in my language. The staff did their best at all times to make sure we were comfortable. The main downside was the food - it wasn't bad by any stretch, it was just okay, and it wasn't cheap so it was a let down. Doing activities from the resort was also a bit of a hassle. The resort don't run snorkeling or surfing trips themselves, and go through an external provider who you had to call from the reception phone. Organisation was annoying and sometimes fruitless (we enquired about horse riding three months before arriving, were told it'd be fine, and then were told on our last day no horses could be found in the local area for us to ride). If you go, make sure you get to To Sua Ocean Trench (about half an hour's drive from Coconuts)! It is absolutely incredible.

"Staff great nice resort"
We have just returned from 8dys at aga reef. Resort is very nice and people are fantastic. Only 2 things to complain about- limited menu was dear never changed and nowhere else to eat. Also you are literally on the reef. While that's great for snorkelling it's not so good for swimming. 5mins up the road is nice beach for swimming but you will be asked to pay to park your car or use a beach fale. While samoa was lovely we constantly had our hands in our wallets and it's not cheap. 4 days would have been enough. I would still recommend aga reef though. Definately hire a car

"Their service is spot on! :)"
I've stayed at Tanoa numerous times before with a few friends and it's a beautiful hotel, but their service wasn't always up to par. We'd wait for a few hours for our requests to be delivered. However, this previous trip in June really impressed me at how much the service has changed (must be new management). My cousin and I ordered dessert at 11pm (smart to have dessert at any time) after watching some cooking channel on cable that sparked our "all of a sudden" craving for something delicate and delicious. Ha! I had expected our dessert to come a few hours later, but it came a few minutes later. Not once, but twice the next day since we stayed for 3 nights. We've had a few requests while we were there and surprisingly they were all met. Keep up the awesome service and thank you to Lita and Iloa for welcoming us (especially my cousin on her first time to Apia) and making our stay a memorable one. I Guarantee another check-in to Tanoa the next time I visit.

"Little touch of paradise"
We were in Samoa for 2 weeks and spent our last week at the Sa'Moana, I wish we had've spent our whole time there! Our bungalow was just perfect and it really is "absolute beachfront", the outdoor shower is beautiful, the room is basic yet very comfortable. The staff are all lovely and accommodating, we felt more like part of an extended family than guests in a resort. Really enjoyed cocktail hour with all of our new friends as well as the delicious meals. We were so sad to leave, but we have resolved to be back as soon as possible and we will be booking our entire stay at the Sa'Moana, without hesitation. Highly recommend this place for families and couples. Just be aware there are no TV's and no air con, but honestly I didn't miss either of them at all.

"Lovely hotel right on the beach"
We were looking for somewhere to relax and forget about life and this was the perfect place. A bit of a chore to get there (especially if you don't have sea legs) but worth it all. While there's not a lot of developed tourist attractions, this is only a problem if you don't like swimming, snorkelling, diving or kayaking. Or just lying on the beach or the verandah. It rained a bit but this was actually really nice. The resort had a nice menu and food was available all day. There was also a decent pizza place across the road. The staff were lovely.

Had a wonderful time here, staff where outstanding. Free snorkel and kayak for guests to use. No wifi or TV. Best and biggest selection of food outside of Apia. No kids aloud (thank god), one of many reasons to pick sea breeze over the other hotels on the island.
