Hotel is located downtown so the only negative I could give was the sirens in the middle of the night. The staff is top notch except for a rather surly front desk clerk on check in. I wouldn't recommend for families but otherwise it is locate near the center of everything San Diego.

The entire stay was amazing from start to finish! Excellent service by all staff members!! The place was beautiful, the bed and pillows were so comfortably and it was great that they had complimentary beach towels, beach chairs, bicycles, etc for us to use throughout the week :)

Our experience at the Hotel Solomar was awesome. I loved the infused water and complimentary coffee in the mornings. The location is perfect to walk the Gaslmap, and Seeport Village. We had a great experience - I would definitely come back.

We stayed 2 night at this great hotel with friends, look forward to returning, large rooms, comfy bedding, short beautiful walk to shops and several very good restaurants! Our waiter at breakfast was excellent. We were pleased with our stay!

Have returned many times and always love our stays at La V. Ocean view rooms are the best, and sitting out on the hotel veranda looking over the sea for breakfast is a must. Staff is friendly and helpful. One of our favorite places to stay.

The hotel is beautiful, the customer service is outstanding, the only thing I can say that made me feel unwelcome a little bit is the emphasis they put into me buying the reservation through 'Expedia' and not through them; I felt the difference and made me feel a little uncomfortable.
This is a expensive hotel and would be a little more attractive if they just added the breakfast with the reservation, because they don't even include the coffee in your room which is kind of too much;I don't know if they do this with regular hotel reservations.
The ambiance of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing, which is what we were looking for, so we loved it. I would go back and I would recommend it because we had such a great time and enjoy the views so much!
