We came here for a weekend getaway. The hotel is secluded in a quiet neighborhood, far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Diego. Upon arrival we were courteously greeted by two valet staff, who were quick to inform us check in procedures. Front desk staff were equally courteous and check-in was a breeze. I must say, as with other reviews, the staff here is superb and friendly and quick to answer all your needs. Our room was the garden cottage and we couldn't have been any more happier with the selection. Very large bathroom, king size bed and a fireplace with real firewood was certainly a nice touch. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant Morada definitely sealed the deal, our meal was very tasteful (salmon and halibut) and the service provided by our attentive server Robert was excellent. We will be sure to recommend this to any couple looking for a relaxing local getaway.

The entire stay was amazing from start to finish! Excellent service by all staff members!! The place was beautiful, the bed and pillows were so comfortably and it was great that they had complimentary beach towels, beach chairs, bicycles, etc for us to use throughout the week :)

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel - location was fantastic, staff were friendly and very helpful, rooms were clean and updated, pool area is beautiful...wonderful experience here - would recommend to anyone travelling to San Diego and will definitely stay here again. Great location for a family - we walked to the Gaslamp Quarter quite easily (with an infant!), it is right across the street from shops and restaurants at the Seaport Village and The Headquarters and also very close to a large grocery store "Ralph's". Also within walking distance to the Coronado ferry, USS Mission museum, and located right across the street from the trolley station. Ordered room service one night, it was great (pizza, beet salad, salsa and guacamole). Great view from our corner King room on the 20th floor, Seaport tower.
Only tip for those travelling with infants - bring along your own travel crib as the one supplied by the hotel seemed very uncomfortable as the mattress was very uneven - you could feel the end of each wooden board, our little one did not do very well in it and ended up sleeping with us. If you must use the hotel one, definitely bring your own sheets as they didn't have one that fit the pack and play and just used a large sheet folded up a few times (definite safety concern!)

"Great hotel. Location of hotel quiet and relaxing"
The staff at Estancia made us feel welcome. The valet employees remembered our names and welcome us back every night and also wish us a good night. It's great to have such friendly staff which makes our stay more like home. The hotel was quiet at nights which allowed us to have such a peaceful sleep. The grounds of the hotel are pretty. The hotel was great for us as we brought our dog on our trip. It is pet friendly and the staff treated our dog as well as we were treated.

The hotel is beautiful, the customer service is outstanding, the only thing I can say that made me feel unwelcome a little bit is the emphasis they put into me buying the reservation through 'Expedia' and not through them; I felt the difference and made me feel a little uncomfortable.
This is a expensive hotel and would be a little more attractive if they just added the breakfast with the reservation, because they don't even include the coffee in your room which is kind of too much;I don't know if they do this with regular hotel reservations.
The ambiance of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing, which is what we were looking for, so we loved it. I would go back and I would recommend it because we had such a great time and enjoy the views so much!
