As San Francisco natives, we wanted a romantic, elegant and fun night away. The Hotel Monaco is fantastic. The location is of course great. The hotel manages to be both elegant and whimsical and fun. The rooms are pretty small, but their excellent design compensates. Highly recommend.

Lovely spacious room . Our room was right next to the elevator and we never heard a sound from it or anything in the hallway. The room furnishings were very nice and very well kept . In fact they looked quite new. The bathroom was very current and towels were also quite lovely.( nothing was showing any signs of wear)
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. It was walking distance to many places we wanted to visit ( although the hills are not for the faint of heart)
We also took advantage of the cable car line a very short distance away

Check in was quick and easy. Short elevator ride and walk to the room (not too huge of a hotel). Room is spacious and well equipped. Staff will provide anything you forgot at home. Clean and modern. Location is the best of all - right near shopping and transportation options. Good location for business travel too, near Moscone and SOMA offices.

This hotel was such a wonderful surprise. It is centrally located and a quick, two block walk to Union Square. The lobby and beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our room was small but welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

My hotel stay was great. Staff was very attentive, room was very nice, and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of places to eat close by and Union Square was just a short walk away. Public transportation was also easy to get to, making getting around as easy as possible in the city. The onsite bar/club was also very nice and had a good vibe during our stay.
