With just a long weekend to show my partner something of San Francisco we found this an excellent location. The immediate vicinity is lively, the Bay adjacant, and the cable cars, trolley lines and buses took us just about everywhere else we could pack into the available time. The place is convenient, welcoming and would be our choice again.

I stayed 2 nights at the end of my trip up the pacific coast highway. This was a excellent choice. The hotel has endless charm and style. The location of this hotel is great it's in the nob hill section of san francisco. I stayed in room 608 which faced down taylor with a city view. I opened all the windows and felt the breeze.Warm air during the day and cool at night. Everyone that worked at this hotel was about delivering great customer service. I would not only recommend this hotel to anyone that i know is traveling to San Fran but when i return i will be staying here again no doubt.

The service at this hotel is the best we have experienced in years and we travel all the time. From check in to car retrieval, everything. The room was very clean, comfortable. We had two issues and one was fixed immediately, that being a slow drain in the bathroom. The other was that a fan didn't work in the bathroom and after a shower, it took a while for it to dry out. Other than that, it's a great place to stay. Location is perfect for both downtown SF as well as walking south of Mission.

Went on a girls trip. Shopping a couple blocks away and easy to get everywhere. Safe area as well. Staff were amazing in helping us get anywhere and had great advice as to where to go. Great time, great hotel and friendly staff. Worth the dollars to stay somewhere nice, safe and it was quiet in our room during the night (no parties/street life heard from our room.)

Although a full service hotel which means higher cost, the Marriott Marquis is well located in the CBD offering easy access to all that one would want on either a business trip or for pleasure. The hotel can be busy in the lobby area due to the number of conferences hosted at the hotel or nearby but this is not a problem as the staff of the hotel are well versed in looking after its guests.
For the traveller, the concierge should be the first stop to gain local insight into what is happening in the city, recommendations on what to see and do and for making bookings.
Of course, a visit to the 39th floor is a must to take in magnificent views of the city during both the day and night. The food, drink and service at this venue is first class.
The rooms are very comfortable and well serviced by very pleasant staff.
The hotel has an indoor pool and spa which is quite rare for a hotel in San Francisco. Adjacent to these facilities is a well equipped gymnasium.
