my first trip to St Lucia, I've been to many other islands. My partner (new relationship) had been on cruise years ago. I wanted a real surprise, and found this small quiet and private bit of heaven. She thought we were going to big hotels in the north, and was absolutely blown away by Stonefield. Apart from going out to dinner, we only left twice, as we had everything right there-- fridge, sun, pool, each other. We like the beach, and the snorkelling, but hanging in the villa was so relaxing.

"Lush surroundings and beautifully rustic lodging"
This is the place to stay if you want to get away from the busy, artificial, all-inclusive resort scene, and stay comfortably in your own cabin in a beautiful natural setting, but with resort amenities like room service, on site restaurants, pools, etc. Fond Doux is locally owned and operated, and built in a jungle rainforest. It has kind of a backpacker vibe as it seems to attract friendly, socially conscious people and families, but it is just as easy to nestle into your cabin and keep to yourself, as each one is secluded among the cocoa, cinnamon, banana, guava, papaya, coconut, and palm trees

We had an amazing stay at sugar beach. The villa was spotless and pretty much as large as our own home. The infinity pool and hot tub off the large patio were breathtaking. The view was the best on the island. Our butler Gary was amazing and took care of anytime we needed. I will definitely be coming back again!

St. Lucia was a very very nice visit/vacation of all we have taken together. My wife and I enjoy to the upmost! We saw the sights of the local area near the hummingbird hotel in our 6days stay. Well Melvin "Baby-Shaq" had more to show us, but I was just ready to relax and just enjoy the wonderful view from the beach that I could walk to from my room at the hummingbird, everyday. We spent so much time on the beach that we didn't realize how sunburnt we were until returning home. Enjoyed this place! Get with "baby-Shaq"! He will even take you on farther island adventures. Oh! don't come here during April timeframe for "Holiday Period" if you are a clubber, because dance clubs were close.

A sleepy fishing village with an emerging tourist industry on the island’s southwest coast, Soufriere boasts several attractions. Among them include Sulphur Springs, a “drive-in” volcano, the Diamond Botanical Gardens with waterfall (featured in “Superman II”), historic mineral baths, and nearby black sandy beaches. South of town are the Pitons, two volcanic mountains and a World Heritage site.
