"Pleasant hotel"
Apart from the loud music from a wedding til very late and needed to rest and relax before a major competition we had a lovely stay. Hotel is very clean and comfortable and would recommend to anyone.

"Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds, great location."
We only booked one night on our way home from a wedding to take a look at St. Albans. The hotel was very welcoming, the staff extremely helpful and the grounds at the rear so beautiful and relaxing. Our breakfast was comprehensive and cooked to order to our specific requirements. The hotel was really well located for getting a flavour of St Albans on foot. We did a circular walk to the superb Verulamium museum, then along the river through the park to the beautiful and unique cathedral and town centre.

Pocket Guide: Hertfordshire St Albans 4 stars Hotels

The city of St Albans, 22 miles north of London, was known as Verulamium in Roman times and was the second largest Roman settlement in Britain. Visitors can learn more about the Roman town at the Verulamium museum, while the Museum of St Albans focuses on more recent history. The clock tower is the oldest medieval belfry in Britain, and the cathedral was a well-worn stop on the Pilgrim Trail.
