The hotel is right at the gates of the old city so very convenient. It was also good to drive from as a base. We could be out of the city quickly to drive to other towns in Provence. Pleasant ambiance. Extremely helpful staff.

My partner and I stayed here in mid-December and had a wonderful experience. The room was outstanding and had a great view of the Christmas market. The staff was incredibly helpful and tended to our every need. Overall, it was perfect for a romantic weekend away. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Avignon.

this hotel was wonderful, clean, comfortable, great breakfast (extra but well worth it) write in the middle of old city of Avignon, just around corner from Popes Palace and historic spots - 5 minute walk to famous bridge....great cafes in walking distance - wonderful food - front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Easy cab ride to train station to other towns (Arles) making this hotel excellent base for a few days....do not only spend one night - enjoy the wonderful experience of Avignon in really comfortable hotel for several days...next trip we are going to spend longer here....well worth the money for comfort and location.

just inside the old city walls, 2 or 3 minutes from the city rail station, the same for the bus stops that link with the Gare TGV (via very picturesque industrial estates)
Le Cloitre Saint Louis is one road back from the main street and takes over one side of a beautiful old building all around a central courtyard. Gorgeous transformation, lovely staff, nice simple rooms offering all we needed. That's all we can say really since we didn't eat there though the restaurant looked lovely and breakfast was a big value buffet.
The price we paid was terrific value, way below the advertised prices, possibly because it was late November. Days of storms meant warm rain but one morning was a perfect autumnal Provencal picture with us enjoying coffee sat outside on Place Pie having checked out the excellent indoor market Les Halles and in warm sunshine.
