"Superb accommodation and Stunning Views"
My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights for our wedding anniversary and absolutely loved the place. The owner Sue met us with a warm welcome and made sure we had all we needed. Not only did she cook an amazing breakfast each morning she also gave us recommendations of places to eat, (thank you so much Sue).

"Excellent guesthouse with very friendly staff."
We stayed at Burnley House for one night. We were welcomed by the owners who were an extremely friendly and accommodating couple. As we arrived quite late, they went out of their way to phone local pubs and restaurants to book us in for a meal. The bedroom was lovely and clean with little complimentary chocolates and biscuits and the ensuite bathroom was very luxurious. I would say that the breakfast was probably the best I've ever had in a guesthouse. Overall, a lovely little find and ideally located on the edge of the North York Moors. We hope to go back soon!

"Lovely B&B"
Very much enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We stayed in room #2 (four poster bed). The room was very comfortable, immaculately clean. The bed was very firm. I appreciated sheets and blankets rather than a duvet. Towels were luxurious. The breakfast was a highlight, as others have described. The location was very convenient to everything. An excellent value and most enjoyable stay.

Pocket Guide: North Yorkshire York 4 stars Eviivo Small Hotels

Once enclosed by ancient fortified walls, York offers a wealth of cultural and historical sites, including York Castle, the National Railway Museum, and York Minster, a Gothic cathedral in the city center. The Shambles is a pedestrian-friendly street dating back to mediaeval ages, where it housed butcher shops. Today the scene is less gruesome, with quaint boutiques and tea rooms lining the road.
