We stayed for 2 nights. Absolutely love the hotel. Rooms were big and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Service was excellent. Check in at 2pm. Stayed for a few hours in the room, make a bit of mess on the bed. Went out and came back to a neatly folded bedsheets. Wow! Unexpected! Always leave us notes and little snacks in the room. Location was good. 2mins Walking distant from bts. Close to all the major shopping malls. Good place to stay for shopperholic. Overall it was a wonderful stay in this hotel. Would definately be back to stay when in bangkok!

I have a long history of staying at 5-star hotels in Bangkok. Most these hotels are prohibitively expensive. Sofitel So Bangkok is a standout in that (1) it is nearly brand new (2) it is exceptionally clean (3) all staff are impeccably trained and (4) it is centrally located and has a great Lumpini Park. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a perfect rating is because of the eye sore building next to the pool area. I know that this is not within their control, but it really does detract from the poolside experience. It is likely that the building won't be around for much longer and anything in its place will be better. Other than that, I had an awesome stay.
