We stayed at the Hotel Regency for 2 nights. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The bathroom is on the small side but the shower was very large. Our room faced the street and it was very quiet at night. We had breakfast in the dining area and it was very good, eggs, meat, croissants, cheeses and fresh fruit, and cappuccino. Everything was first class. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They booked dinner reservations, tour guides and taxis upon requests. We also emailed them ahead of time and they responded very quickly. We never ate dinner in their restaurant so I can't comment on that. The hotel really captured the quaintness of Florence being located close to many attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous experience got around most of the Historic sights although still needed a couple of extra days to get around everything, you almost need a bit of a break between cultural sites as there is so much to take in, you can feel a bit overloaded with information, Florence is an incredible clean and safe place to visit. If i had a small criticism it would be that you really do not get warned about the amount of steps you have to climb in most of the sites, they can be quite daunting, i would hate to put anyone off by saying this but you do need to be aware.

Amazing holiday. Great staff, hotel, food and drink. I only have one criticism that the drinks prices are expensive. It didn't put us off from using the bar but it seemed no one used it whilst we were there.

Staff and facilities were all excellent there really is no more to add apart from a wish that the trees obstructing the view of the city could be severely reduced. The location is dreamy and romantic with access to the town being made easy by an excellent shuttle bus service.

This hotel couldn't be in an any better position to see the sights of Florence, after a rather tense drive into the city to find the hotel, a few roads had been closed off for maintenance, the hotel staff took our rental car on arrival to garage overnight. I would in future not bother with a car for Florence as it's not necessary, we drove on to Venice so needed it. The initial checking was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and a fair size, and the decore was in Tuscan style, very comfortable and well appointed. The bar area downstairs was always attended and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. The rooftop terrace on floor five was lovely and the hot tub a welcome sight after a day of sightseeing. The concierge when asked recommended some very nice restaurants and did the reservations for us. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was in a beautiful room with efficient staff again. I would definitely recommend this hotel for Florence, it really was excellent in every way.
