The reviews I read were full of praise, and with reason. The combination of GRAND and Japanese is a winner. Being right next to Canal City is a big plus - photo 4401 - but occasioanlly it could be a bit noisy.
Some niggles (true of many hotels):
1) the supply of powerpoints in the room was inadequate, and the desk was poorly served see photo 4446, especially for non-Japanese guests
2) the desk chair was far too low for computer use and had to be supplemented with pillows - photo 4448
3) the curtains were translucent, and I woke up early - not what I wanted on a short break from a demanding job - photo 4449
4) the airconditioning control panel was tiny and very hard to read, especially when the light was weak - photo 4447
