We have just returned from a 1 week holiday at the Amirandes Grecotel in Gouves, whilst we had a very nice stay in the most fabulous hotel, it should be mentioned that the hotel is located away from any other establishments an it is very difficult to walk to anything out of the hotel, unless you clamber over rocks and up very dodgy steps or a risky walk up a lane. Taxis's are available, but we like to walk whilst on holiday. So with this in mind unless you book full or half board at the hotel, you may go hungry. You can upgrade to the option of half board at the hotel on a daily basis but at €50 per person for a buffet, we thought that this was a bit over expensive.
After all that the hotel is extremely good, the service is second to none and the rooms very luxurious, and all very very clean.

Had a great week at the Anthousa.
Food very good, service superb, all inclusive package genuine. On a good beach, very good room, pools. Adult pool full of kids.
15 Euro deposit for each beach towel. Reduced the Sun bed fiasco as people don't risk losing towel, but many days same old problem where sun beds bagged all day but not used.
Surrounding area down market, nothing Greek, just streets of Irish bars and holiday tat shops selling stuff for twice the price as at home,
Everything outside hotel very expensive due to exchange rate.
Hotel deteriorated since our last visit, looks as though problems don't get fixed.
Beach bar sitting area looks as though it was damaged in the winter and only half repaired.
Tennis court, alongside stinking open sewer, astro turf sunk in one hole 4 inches deep, guanteed damaged ankle.
Staff great, Duty / assistant manager very kind when we asked to pay for a guest to visit for a day.
Be aware if you don't book a sea or side sea view you may end up in Annex across the the road which would be very disappointing especially if you have kids.
Be happy to go back.

My daughter and I have just returned from the Aquis Bella. The staff are fantastic; courteous, charming and extremely helpful, particularly on Reception. Everyone spoke good English.
We had a sea view room which was comfortable with a nice balcony, good airconditioning and clean. Large bathroom and good supply of hot water and a decent shower.
The main restaurant was fine, the food was as good as it could be considering it is a huge buffet. Plenty of choice and the main meals changed daily. Although the staples of chips and pasta were always available and plenty of salad and fruit. The staff were a little slow at clearing tables and if you went into the restaurant at busy times it was sometimes difficult to find a table.
The pool was good but too many lilos and ball games. The indoor pool was open and much more peaceful if you wanted to swim some lengths. We had a great massage in the spa - well worth it.
The beach is not the most impressive feature, whilst it is long it is quite narrow with rocks under the water and quite rough.
There is a lot of emphasis on entertainment, both by the pool during the day and in the evening, if you like that sort of thing.
All in all it is exactly as described and is a good comfortable family holiday resort. I would recommend it.

stayed 1 week in this hotel, was perfect location close to shops and bars etc. hotel looked nice although did not like reception area very dark and dated looking. our standard room was a decent size although bathroom was too small and shower tiny barely room to move but very clean. Also no sun ever got to our veranda are very disappointing. Pool areas lovely plenty room to choose where to sit. staff were lovely and friendly.

Lovely destination for relaxation and having fun.Of course not comparable with a 5* hotel in the UK but only because there is a different clientel.People looking for pure luxury should book a private villa with butlers. If you look for lovely beach holidays with funny animation team you should definitely go to the rinela beach! The facilities are amazing:indoor + couple of outdoor pools;large private beach with many offers(jet-ski,banana,parasailing,catamaran,windsurfing..); 2 bars; beside main restaurant one Greek restaurant and a Chinese(my favourite) one;very competent Spa departement;animation team which is fantastic! The food quality is not the best but possibly because it would be a big waste, since so many people who book all inclusive would take plates full of food and leave it for garbage. You literally have complimentary food all day.If restaurants are closed after breakfast, lunch and dinner you constantly have snacks at the pool bar.I can't complain about the cocktails and drinks since there were all for free but you shouldn't have that high expectations.
The staff was efficient but not outstanding.I think the size of the hotel and the huge number of guests which is rotating every week does not allow to provide an excellent service for everyone, however all of them were helpful.
I work in a iconic 5*hotel in London and know how to provide that kind of service, however I would never expect it for this occasion.I am very happy with my holidays and recommend it to everyone
