Stayed at the Mark based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Less than a block from the park. Staff were very helpful in every regard. The service is outstanding as is the comfort of the rooms. We had only one borderline experience with slow service in the restaurant for breakfast. We will be coming back to New York on a regular basis and plan to make the Mark our New York hotel!

Booked The Towers at New York Palace for silver anniversary - what can I say. We booked a king size suite which was fab. Entrance area, living area, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Fantastic views and fabulous location. Room very comfortable with little extras - ipod docking station, Molton Brown toiletries,The Hotel is within easy walking distance to most tourist attractions. Didn't eat in the hotel, however lots of places close by for breakfast and dinner

My daughter and I decided to have the trip of a lifetime to New York following my retirement. We stayed at the Refinery Hotel for 4 nights and we were extremely glad that we had chosen this wonderful hotel. It's location was ideal, located between 5th and 6th Avenue within comfortable walking distance to Times Square, Rockerfeller Centre, Macy's and a lot of other wonderful shops along Fifth Avenue.
We did use a lot of taxis as walking for longer periods was an issue for me, this does take quite a lot of money but well worth it in our circumstances. We visited all the well known New York landmarks and found that an early start helped a lot with the queus and the amount of people - we were at the Empire State Building as they opened at 08.00 a.m. Similarily Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and Top of the Rock.
We had wonderful meals in a lot of special restaurants but the two that stood out were Gallagher's steak house in the Broadway area and The Boathouse in Central Park where we were fortunate in experiencing exceptionally warm weather and we enjoyec lunch overlooking the lake.
A wonderful night at the theatr watching Jersey Boys was also a highlight which we'll never forget.
Back to the wonderful Refinery Hotel, we were so glad that we had chosen a boutique hotel and not one of the much larger establishments that New York is well known for. The staff couldn't do enough for you and service was world class - actually made our holiday.

What an excellent hotel; perfect location for a visit to the Broadway theatres or a jog/walk in Central Park. Hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the service was great. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the chance for a few beers and the odd glass of champagne in the evenings was lovely.
