The hotel is set in a nice area, however not quite as fascinating as other desert resorts in the UAE. The resort is quite spread out and possibly could do with few more dining options or a central swimming pool. Having said that, the centre of the show is your own private villa, and this resort does deliver on this front. We stayed in the smaller units, and honestly found it even too large for a couple, the room is cleverly designed and the outdoor area fantastic with a decent size pool.Overall I found it ideal for a short break to get away from the city life, with quite good value for money. I would think carefully if staying for longer (ie week-long) stay.

From entering the hotel we were greeted by very friendly receptionist, we were then escorted to our beautiful room, with large bathroom & walk-in closet, our luggage shortly followed. The hotel has quite a few different restaurants all serving a vast range of very tasty different dishes, with friendly staff waiting on your table in the Al a Carte restaurant. The beach is a short walk or there are 2 pools a family pool or an adult lap pool, again the staff there were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Whilst we were checking out the porter had put all the luggage in our car & placed water in for are journey back to Dubai. We spent 4 days there & we will definitely be returning very shortly.

Our second visit to the hotel and again we had the most relaxing time. The beach is lovely, the pools are great. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Kept very clean daily. The breakfast buffet was out of this world!! The dinners at the main buffet restaurant were so lovely, almost a different theme every night. There is nothing to do outside of this hotel so you are forced to relax all day and all night which is nice. I don't think we could stay more than 5 nights as i like to head out in the evenings for shopping or to a nice bar/restaurant but we still really enjoyed the break as we really needed it.
The XO bar was a nice place to sit and have a drink.
The shuttle bus takes you daily to Dubai Mall if you wish to do some shopping. However they only do one trip there and back which isn't always convenient. The hotel is definitely great for families with small children but my husband and I also found it very relaxing.
Overall a lovely stay. We will definitely be returning.

An amazing weekend for our family. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. They couldn't do enough to help you. I would recommend upgrading to a ground floor villa (which is basically a deluxe room next to one of the pools). You call the beach buggy which arrives within 5 mins to take you wherever you want which adds to the experience of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, sitting outside by the pool. All in all absolutely perfect. Only thing I would suggest is to have more ice creams or lollies in a freezer by the pool bar available for the kids as they all wanted them. Although it was a nice touch that on one of the days ice lollies were given out for free by the pool

The Resort sits on a private island of white sand, just a short boat ride from the car park onshore. Accommodation is by way of "glamour tents", part rigid wall and part tent roof. A large King-size bed with living area and generous bathroom opens directly onto a private deck with sunbed and plunge pool. Villas are separated only by a brick wall, and a degree of respect for your neighbour's privacy is important - but it all looks and feels decadent enough to be worth the money.
Anything sitting by the sea under open skies is going to suffer from the effects of exposure eventually - and this hotel is no different. Some of the tent roof fabric has seen better days; and the sunbathing furniture is bleaching under the (almost) relentless sunshine. But everything works - and if it stops working, a team will appear within minutes of calling Reception in order to fix it.
If it rains, two things become rapidly obvious. The first is that, once deprived of the charming covered tables located outside facing the sea, the restaurant struggles in vain to cope: the interior restaurant space is tiny and not an attractive space - damp customers have to be ferried under umbrellas across to the Bar (also not an attractive space) in order to be fed, eventually. The second is that - if the sun does disappear - in the absence of a good book there is absolutely nothing on the island which can keep you entertained.
