Our stay at Mizpe Hayamim was generally a good experience. We were attracted to the resort due to it's proximity to Safed and that it was self described as a relaxing, spa experience. We had spent the previous two weeks traveling in eastern Europe and felt we needed a place to unwind. The grounds are lovely, the staff was welcoming and friendly and the food was outstanding. The hotel itself was clean but very tired looking. The room was large and the bathroom had a small separate shower and a whirlpool tub. The furniture was mismatched, the floors were designed to look like wood but were actually heavily worn plastic and the television was tiny. For the price we paid for the room we expected a more luxuriously appointed room and were frankly disappointed.

O-live has very nice, modern, clean, large rooms all with great views. The building itself is small with less than 10 rooms making it very quiet, and the location is good. The only downside is that breakfast is in the courtyard of another BnB about 5 minutes away, and the courtyard could do with some more shade.

We arrived to a warm welcome, and then continued on to our scheduled massages. The Spa was lovely, and the massage was welcomed and great. Our room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast, tea room and general dining were all served beautifully. Overlooking the hills, we watched a herd of cows just walk by. The pool was lovely. We loved it, and would recommend highly.
