"Wonderful, luxurious hotel. Great location."
A pure treat. As soon as we arrived, welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. Room was very modern, clean and amazing bathrooms. Love the spa facilities and relaxed feel - walking down in our robes! Bar is great - perfect venue for pre dinner cocktails or after dinner drinks - by far the best in York.

Pocket Guide: North Yorkshire York 5 stars Hotels

Once enclosed by ancient fortified walls, York offers a wealth of cultural and historical sites, including York Castle, the National Railway Museum, and York Minster, a Gothic cathedral in the city center. The Shambles is a pedestrian-friendly street dating back to mediaeval ages, where it housed butcher shops. Today the scene is less gruesome, with quaint boutiques and tea rooms lining the road.
