“Felt safe with my children”

We were four ladies (1 adult, 1 senior, 2 girls) traveling alone to Egypt, that can be a little scary. Fortunately, the hotel offered a safe environment, with a strong access control. They have a big fat iron gate at the entrance, with security personnel 24/7. Also to enter the lobby, you must go through a metal detector supervised by two policeman and a hotel employee, also 24/7. Everyone was respectful, helpful, and the property is really pretty. The hotel concierge was able to provide us a good tour guide, and a chauffeur that was responsible and trustworthy.They actually protected us from people that they knew could represent problems for us. The only three things I was not comfortable with were the mattress of our beds, which I found them extremely firm; the pillows, were too big and almost in the shape of a basketball, and because, we stayed on the rooms at the same floor as the lobby, there was music coming from outside. It was not too loud, but it was there. The climate was sunny and warm. The pool was really clean and the pool service was really nice. The food was exquisite!

“A great hotel”

Overall, an excellent hotel although it is quite far from Giza and central Cairo. The hotel staff were friendly and the food was of good quality. The rooms were a decent size.

“Very Calm and Quite”

according for my work in the media city for more than 20 days it was quite awesome to find such a place .. It's really very calm in all over 6th of october area yet this place is not that fancy as the other hotels around and still have the 5 stars touch on the other hand it's price which is affordable for the long stay periods more than the other 5 stars hotel .. over all it's really calm in here enjoying the lovely clean air during october in the 6th of october city ;)

“Nice hotel but far from cairo centre”

Enjoyed my stay at the Novotel very much, the rooms were very nice and have a kettle. The hot breakfast was very nice although you had to be from Egypt to be allowed to keep the tea pot on your table. The 'bell boy' was fantastic and booked our shuttle bus every day. As the hotel is 45-60 minutes from the centre of Cairo it is advisable to take this as it will save you money. The bus leaves at 1030 and 5pm only and returns at 3pm or 9pm, but be warned that if no-one takes the shuttle at 5 you will not get picked up at 9pm. The shuttle bus drops you outside the Egytian museum. We paid E80 for a taxi back to the hotel. Do not book a trip with Ramos tours which are located in the hotel. We did the half day pyramid tour with them, basically its car hire for 6 hours but what they dont tell you is that you will spend more time visiting a Papyrus shop, getting info on camels and carpets with a driver who gets lost than look at pyramids. Over all the hotel staff were very good, the hotel is lovely the pool and gym area are brilliant, there is entertainment at night in the small bar. There is a lovely cafe near the hotel, (leave hotel, turn right to end of road, turn right again until you reach the main road and the mosque, cross the road and you will find le memories with its massive red chairs, its good and quiet cheap. There is also a KFC and a few other food places. Be warned the hotel does not change travellers cheques.
