“Nisreen”
This is my 3rd stay at this hotel in less than 6 month and the staff are so friendly and helpful, i stayed at the club floor amazing service, defenetly i would come back again
“"In the middle of nowhere, and get ripped by the hotel taxi service"”
June 2010 I have just returned from Cairo, where I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Although it is only 15-20 mins from the Pyramids, it is about an hour from Cairo centre. The worst thing is that you cannot get a taxi from there, so you have no choice but to take the hotel taxi. Hotel staff refused to call me taxi. It will cost you about $US35 to go one way to most destinations (believe me this adds up). You can get a taxi back to the hotel for about $US12. If you want to go to Cairo and lounge about by the pool and do very little else, then go for it, but if you're on the go be prepared to fork out about $US100 / day (based on two trips / day which we were doing). “i will never go back to this hotel”
very far from cairo. it might take up to 1 hour to reach cairo ,, very disappointing
“Too far”
I expected hotel to have transportation at airport but that was not the case.
“sheraton 6th of october”
room appliances did not worked, breakfast was not included and was overcharged later, no taxi service was provided, lamp in bathroom did not worked, room was cleaned in 8 PM, while we had to wait in the corridor.
“Not impressed with the location, although the hotel was good.”
Bad Location. But good room, restaruant was fine.
“Pyramid's”
Even though it's an hour drive out of Cairo,it was a very nice hotel. We had great food and the taxi service there was very helpful.
“would like to go back”
the staff was outstanding the whole trip was outstanding im telling everybody i know to stay in the sheraton dreamland in giza. my cousin and his wife will visist next years so she can see what it was like for me and him to be in egpty to see the pyraimd.
“This hotel is not up-to-standard!!!”
If you have a choice, then stay away from this hotel... At least until it is fully finished and the staff have learnt a few more words of English! I spent a week here recently and out of all the hotels I stayed in during my seven week world circumvention, this was the worst! Not only is it located right next to a very loud amusement park that goes on until 2 or 3 am every night, they just don't know how to treat Western customers. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong here. The air-conditioner needed to be serviced three times, the TV failing, the staff don't understand the simplest of instructions and on top of it, the management made promises to rectify their short-comings and then refused to fulfil them! These guys are bunnies and have a lot to learn before they can be seen to be in the league of other Sheraton hotels I've stayed at.
“very isolated”
The hotel was far from everything and it wasn't easy or cheap to get into Cairo or Giza. The hotel only offers a "limosine" service at triple the price of a regular cab which is very difficult to get due to its isolated location.
