“Ocean Shores”

Nice Hotel. Beds are very hard, but overall nice place to stay for the price. Good location. I have stayed at other hotels in Ocean Shores and the BW is closer to the beach than the other hotels on the strip and the beach is not as busy (at least during the winter months).

“THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.”

I had the worst hotel experience I have had in my entire life of 43 years at this hotel. I was told when I made the reservation that I could call the hotel to reserve an ocean view. When I called the hotel, they said it was first come, first serve. Keep in mind, this was my wife and my anniversary. When we got there, we checked in and went up to our room. They made us pay in advance, which I thought was unusual for a hotel. We entered our room, only to find that it did not look out over the beach. Furthermore, it looked out over a tent camp-site very reminiscent of a squatter's camp. My wife and I were very disappointed, but figured we could live with the view, as it did look north toward part of the ocean, and you could see the tip of the Olympic mountains in the distant. Then we opened the door to the deck. If you are familiar with Ocean Shores, you know that there are two main roads that you drive to access the beach from the town. Well, guess what? One of those streets was DIRECTLY below our window. The noise, the exhaust from the cars was TERRIBLE. This was Saturday of Labor Day weekend, so you can imagine the Grand Central Station feeling of TRAFFIC that was going to and from the beach. We shut the door. The final straw was when we decided to turn on the gas fireplace. After I turned the dial to start the gas fireplace, OUR ROOM FILLED WITH THE SMELL OF NATURAL GAS and we had to open the door, it was so bad. They wouldn't give us a refund.

“Pet Friendly”

Our dog jumped out of our car and went directly thru the front door and made himself known to all at the desk before we even went inside. They were very nice about it and didn't say a word. The front desk people were very nice to us and accomidating as we had 2 more people coming to stay with us on the second nite. Best Western's breakfast was fantastic. If anyone went away hungry it was their own fault. More than enough for everyone.

“Beach, fireplace, shopping and more”

We came to the coast knowing it was going to be rainy, and windy. We loved going to the beach and then back to the room to enjoy the view and the fireplace. the hotel staff was really helpful and friendly. I love being able to get a cup of tea during the afternoon from the lobby. I loved watching the pool be full of children as we entered and exited the hotel.

“One of Ocean Shores finest hotels.”

Our 4th floor room provided an extrodinary view of the beach and ocean. The room is designed as a Jr Suite and is most convenient. Don't forget to go to the top of the "lighthouse" viewing area. The single cup coffee maker was very fast with additional individual coffee shots available at the desk. We were there early Feb so the dry sauna was not hot. The location is excellent for a beach walk to the casino just a couple of miles to the north.

“Heating system did not work. Fire came out of heating vent when it was turned on.”

Hotel has grown old looking. Nothing seems to be updated. We were supposed to get a room with a view, instead we got a room with a view of sandoons. Hotel people did not seem to care and blamed it on Expedia.

the room was nice, easy walk to the beach. the restaurant was not sogood, very slow and the food ws only ok.
