Boutique hotel close to the City centrePosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Room size, decoration and the city centre location.
Cons: This is a modern boutique hotel and is intentionally quirky but perhaps the bathrooms could be larger and the public space improved.
Location: Very central location in a street parallel to Union Street in Aberdeen. Lots of choice for restaurants and bars and handy for bus and rail links.
Stayed four nights whilst attending the Scottish Open Golf in July. We were wakened very early Friday morning by the noise of bins being emptied outside and the sound of seagulls scavenging for anything that may have been dropped. Fortunately Saturday and Sunday mornings were much quieter although they seem to have bin collections there every day of the week! Two cocktail bars and a restaurant directly across the street so some late night noise. However the room was spacious and the large walk in shower was an advantage gained at the expense of the rest of the bathroom which was somewhat "compact". Although we had shower and bath gel in the shower we had no soap for the bathroom sink? The ground floor bar doubles as the hotel reception and the hotel restaurant and bar are located on the second floor. The hotel is narrow but deep and seems to have been made out of joining buildings together as it goes through to the street parallel to Langstane Place. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very good and the hotel is modernly decorated. With a room away from the street it may have been more enjoyable.

Modern Hotel not far from Union StreetPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Stylish decor...Very good breakfast!
Location: Not far from two nightclubs, restaurants and shops.
Modern hotel with all facilities and comfortable rooms. Back rooms have not much view but at least they are off the street which has a few nightclubs - could it be noisy at a late hour with a front room? Friendly and helpful staff....

Comfortable , stylish, good locationPosted May 26, 2014
Location: Central locations near lots of nice restaurant and bars, not noisy though and got good nights sleep.
Only very slight quibble was breakfast finished at 10 which was quite early for Sunday morning. Staff were excellent and very helpful, supplied ice bucket for our room , and gave us advise about the best tariff.
