Great hotel, beautiful locationPosted Jan 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was very pleased with the upgrade I've got and I have asked for a room with sea view and I've got a room on the corner with double windows and a huge bed. Bathroom was clean and as we've stayed there for the first time we've got a complementary warm chocolate biscuit :) Breakfast was very good and it was a good choice of warm food and pastries.

Not impressedPosted Nov 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was tiny with curtains falling down and in a bad general state. After complaining a bowl of fruit was sent to our room as an apology and the fruit was mouldy!! Will not be returning

Pros: We like the location, great choice of breakfast, great facilities, good decor and furnishing and nice big fluffy bathsheets and excellent staff.
Cons: Only two points to make, the television was difficult to watch due to layout of room and there was no socket for using own hairdryer with mirror.
Location: We go to chill out and enjoy the facilites so apart from the shopping, which is only a fifteen minute walk I can't comment on other things to do.
Really enjoyed our stay, I had requested a room with a walk in shower as my husband has MS and was really pleased that we had been allocated a large room at the Platinum Club. This was very beneficial for my husband due to his walking difficulties and ideal for having breakfast as the dining area was so close by and the choice at breakfast was very good. It also had two bathrooms which was great. Everything was ideal and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful which was much appreciated. Looking forward to booking our next weekend there.

Pros: Parking Breakfast Staff
Cons: Decor of bedroom
Location: Next to beach, restaurants, cinema, amusements, shopping area and easy travelling to the city centre. Easy to reach airport or Conference Centre
Stayed 2 nights to accommodate a wedding close by. Arrived late first night but were warmly welcomed and got lovely warm cookie. Our room was on 2nd floor above main door but we had no noise issues. The room itself was a bit tired - could certainly do with modernising the decor, but it was spotlessly clean. Our only issues were a cracked sink and 2 bulbs out ( had it been earlier I might have had the energy / willingness to complain). Breakfast both days was lovely - plenty of staff on duty and all items fresh and topped up regularly (stayed Thur & Fri nights).ten mins before taxi due to collect us we discovered the safe lock was stuck - a quick call to reception a very quick response by maintenance and all was fixed. Forgot to take the 'Later please' note off the door when we went off to our wedding so the room was not serviced and by then a third bulb had blown but it was late when we got back and again went straight to bed so didn't matter too much. I would stay again - the ample parking is a bonus for an Aberdeen hotel - but perhaps try to get one of the updated room next time.
